Step down voltage converter
Excellent for use, no downside to it so far

Runs cool with 300 watts for 2 years now.
Plugged in to power a CDN phone system in Europe for 2 years, never overheats.

DANGEROUS!!!!!!
Did not work. 1. Socket did not make contact with the pins of the plug 2. 120v socket would not securely fit into the case. When you went to remove the plug, the socket came away with you 3. exposed electrical solder points (small solder joints) when removing plug 4. no earth wired into the socket 5. cheap fuse fitted into plug... which was in 3 pieces (silver caps were not around the fuse) Total waste of money!

Does what is promissed
Compact, well designed and rather silent in use, easy to handle but be reminded it is max 300 watts and with LCD stuff etc. the recomended output should not exceed 150 watts as I gathered (see description). All very good.

This is useless
I plugged it in it was fine and I pulled the plug out then I plugged it in again after minutes later and it went with a bang.blowed all the fuses.by the way it is a 120v item I used it for.

it works for audio equipment.
the power output of my cd changer is 10 watts so this transformer is entirely suitable.
