Not useful at all!
I bought this one with the intention to cut open the wax part of the Gouda Cheese wheel before I use a cheese cutter.Con:a. the point is not sharp enough to cut through the wax;b. a regular steak knife is much sharper and easier to mark the line on the wax than this knife;c. a very expensive item to sit in the drawer without any use!

Used this to precisely cut a cheese wheel pf Parmesan
I bought a half of wheel of cheese to make pasta in it. I've never cut any size of cheese wheel ever. Let me tell you, this thing was sharp and cut through the hard rind of a Parmesan like it was butter. It made it easy to wedge the new cheese wire in the slot and cut off the top very easy and very clean. This and a cheese wire is all you need to cut a hard cheese. It is pricey but it is a very specialized tool that does it's job perfectly. 10/10 would buy again.
