TROPO-8-D2 8 Inch Car Subwoofer Dual 2 Ohm, 800 Watts Max

Do not hesitate to purchase theseto but make sure you give them enough room to breathe. Originally i had them in a small sealed box and they just wouldn’t hit. I bought the skar ported box for under the bench seat in my Silverado and they came alive. I actually had to lower the bass a bit not because they couldn’t handle it, but because they were over powering my interiors. I have them wired at 2 ohms paired with a cheap 1000w pyramid amp. And they hit high and low bass perfectly. The CT sounds customer service is one of the best. Almost immediate answering and they actually care to help. I will be buying the amps from them to power my subs and interiors soon.

Fits perfectly with the ct sounds enclosure, I seriously wasn’t expecting so much power, sound and durability from this. Blew my mind. A lot of power in this sub. First time sub guy here. I’d definitely get another one. Or two 2️⃣ I definitely underestimated this sub.

Really great subwoofer but you do need a little power to really get it going. Keep that in mind.

I installed this sub in a 2014 Jeep Wrangler. To use the factory sub box, I needed to use two 3/4" MDF rings because the sub box wasn't deep enough for the Tropo 8" sub. I put sound deadening material on the inside and back of the sub box. The speaker is powered by the 5th channel of a soundstream 640.5 nano amp. I think the amp puts out about 200W @4ohm for the sub channel. So far the sub sounds excellent, plenty of bass and nice power. I could not be happier with the purchase. It is a quality sub, nicely made and quite heavy. I would definitely buy more car audio equipment from CT Sounds!!

Got this for my truck. Sounds great. Running on a ct sounds mono 400w amp. Will update with pic after custom quad 8 box is built.

I bought 4 of these and built box to spect 1 had a small chirp after break in and then just started popping and sounds of cracking I tried to get a warranty and seller had me running through loops asking for pictures of how it’s wired then video of it hitting in box and then video of it free air testing and this and that and made it more of a hassle than I want which is exactly what they want so I’d just buy a new one I’m sure
