Will this work the same as an iLok 2nd generation? What's the difference?

I have two iLok 3 dongles. One of the USB A, one of the USB 3 C. The A dongle is plugged into a bus-powered USB 3 multiport adapter that is plugged into aUSB 3 port on a Windows 10 computer and it works fine. The C is plugged into a bus-powered USB C port on a Mac multi-function stick that is plugged into one of the Mac Mini M1 Thunderbolt ports, and that one also works. So, it is clear that these things work fine when they are plugged into a bus-powered hub/dadpter/multi-function stick.

Two color options listed. "limited edition" for $49 and "original" for $32. (the images look the same) are they both ilok3's ? same features ?

Same exact product. No difference whatsoever in look and/or features.
