Does precisely what it’s meant to do
The ESR MagSafe Sticker / MagSafe Sticker Ring is a solid accessory that brings MagSafe alignment and compatibility to phones and cases that lack built‑in magnets. It sticks cleanly, is thin enough to avoid adding bulk, and consistently holds MagSafe chargers and accessories in place without frustrating misalignment. Installation is straightforward, and once applied, it doesn’t shift or peel under normal use. Magnetic strength is adequate for everyday wireless charging and light magnetic mounts — dependable without being surprisingly strong. Overall it does precisely what it’s meant to do: great fit, enable MagSafe functionality where none existed before, with minimal fuss and solid daily performance. Not flashy, but reliable and practical.

OnePlus 12 with AirVooc puck works well
OnePlus 12 with original wood-effect plastic case. I get 13 - 15W charging with the OnePlus Airvooc puck (and original 100W charger) at 65% battery (screen on, accubattery pro), and warming effect is much less due to the metal ring inside being segmented. Charging speed with the ring and case seems to be the same as with just the bare phone. Previously used a cheaper ring which almost completely stopped AirVooc or Qi charging and got hot. Adhesive seems fine. Fwiw I used the plastic installation guide included for the iPhone 13 mini (marked "A") and it seems about right. The Airvooc puck experience is much improved: I don't have to remove the case, and it magnetically clips onto the ring, whereas it doesn't clip to the bare OnePlus 12 and slips off the best location easily. If only I could find a cheap aftermarket OnePlus / oppo charger brick and cable!

It’s good if your phone does not heat up a lot.
It’s very strong and good, it sticks on and now it’s in. But phones heat up while charging and my MagSafe sticker is slowly falling out because of the heat.. that was after a few months of use

MagSafe ring slips when the phone warms up from charging - updated
Update: 19th April 2023 ---------- A representative from ESR reached out to me about 2 weeks ago now to follow up on this review. After a bit of back and forth over email, it transpires that ESR recommends the Halolock ring be fitted to a case and not directly to the back of a phone, especially a phone that has a glass back as there is an increased likelihood of the adhesive not sticking as expected. While the instructions in the box for the HaloLock rings show a picture of the ring being fitted to the back of a case, it doesn't specifically state that the ring should not be attached to the back of a phone (in my case an iPhone with a glass back). My suggestion to ESR would be to consider adding some text/clarification on this point to avoid anyone else experiencing this issue. To ESR's credit, they sent out a new silicon case for my iPhone XR *and* a replacement pack of HaloLock rings for me to try again. So far, the ring seems to be staying put on the silicon case however, I'm keeping an open mind for now as I've not completed a full wireless charge with the replacement yet. I'll update this review again after a few more charges have been completed. For now, I'm updating my review to 5 stars due to the level of support I've received from ESR. It's so nice to have a company stand behind its products in this way and be seen to make every effort in ensuring that the customer is satisfied with both their purchase and experience of using the product. Shout out to Theresa at ESR for the support, it's been a pleasure dealing with you and this experience has been a welcome change to the normal experience of buying products like this online. Original review ---------- I bought this to use with my iPhone XR and a Belkin 3-in-1 Wireless Magsafe charger. I got tired of having to have multiple chargers on my desk for my phone, AirPods and watch. The fast charge puck for my Watch convinced me to give the Belkin charger a go and I liked the idea of having one charger, and one cable to charge three devices at once. Conceptually, the ESR Halolock system is an elegant implementation of Apple's MagSafe technology. The kit I got has two rings included which I thought was reasonable. Initial impressions were very good, I opted to fit the ring to the back of my iPhone XR which was easy to do using the supplied tools (an alignment clip with a lightning and a USB-C style connector along with two plastic sheet templates one for Android phones and another for iPhones). Alcohol wipes are included to clean the surface of the device you're attaching the ring to, which I used. With the ring applied, it seemed to do the job very nicely, the phone registered a charge and the hold on the Belkin dock was firm and steady. However, I discovered an unfortunate issue with these rings and I'm not sure that it can be resolved easily. As the phone charges it, it creates a certain amount of heat, and what I've observed since using this kit is that the heat is sufficient enough to warm the adhesive to the point where the iPhone will start to slide imperceptibly on the ring as it's charging. In addition, because the Phone moves and not the ring, it causes the wireless charger to get out of alignment which creates even more heat. Eventually, the iPhone XR will shut down the charging circuit if the heat level remains too high to protect the battery. I wanted to like this product, as it seemed like the best solution to add a MagSafe like capability to a non-MagSafe iPhone which would ideally extend the life of an old but still very capable iPhone. In my experience however, using it with the Belkin 3-in-1 desktop charger, this is not a good fit due to the way that the Belkin holds the phone. The Halolock will work fine with a MagSafe puck if laid flat on a desk or surface, but if that's all you're looking for, MagSafe wouldn't be your only option.

Perfect, Easy Fitting
This ring is perfect for phones like the XS Max to use with a Magsafe compatible charger. I have attached mine to the back of a wooden IATO phone case and it still works for me an a Balance 3 in 1 charging station (see me other review). Easy instructions, comes with supplied templates for Android or iPhones, just plug in dummy plastic charging template to the port and place the relevant template over the pegs for your model to exactly position the ring, peel off and stick - job done. Having some spares for future use on a new case it a great idea and cost effective. Really pleased with the ease of use and no fuss installation. Took less than a few minutes to fix and works perfectly. The magnet is very strong and holds my XS Max solidly onto the charger, very firmly, requiring a significant pull to release it, which gives you a lot of confidence that the phone will not fall off. Personally recommended and I would repurchase in future if needed, but with the spare rings, there shouldn't be a need to.

Overpriced, waaaayyyy overpriced!!
Interestingly, this ring has remained attached to a leather case despite the description saying it cannot work on textured surfaces. Although it will not remain attached to TPU/Silicone precisely as they state. Ultimately, these are far to expensive for what they are, you can get 4 times as many of these from China at the same cost, that work with the same amount of metal to magnet force. Only reason I purchased these was for testing purposes in a hurry and couldn't wait for delivery from China. 3 stars because these are not worth the cost and for some reason the company only thinks two phone brands exist in the world, Apple and Samsung, because the alignment kits they include are only for those two brands. Not an issue for me since I found and aligned mine to my Honor Magic V5 coil manually anyway.

Product came with an installation kit, with a plastic piece on the bottom and a cheatsheet with different levels of height (covering multiple models of iPhones and Galaxys). Very impressive, it made the installation a complete breeze. The magnet is very sturdy and the adhesive is robust - and there is 2! The colour (green) matches my OnePlus 12 beautifully, in my opinion. Even the packaging is nice. Totally recommend, it is a great product.

Works with all types of magsafe accessories and is easy to install. I am using it with popsocket and magsafe power bank.

The product delivered to me was different from what’s posted. Looks like a cheap brandless metal ring. Does not have the additional magnet to help keep magsafe wallet in place. Still have to test if it will work properly with mag safe chargers.

Works great with the cell phone holder I bought. My case is silicone and it holds well to it. This is a very strong magnet that holds to the holder. I almost worry that the magnet will let go of my case when I remove it. I do press the magnet sticker tight to my cell phone case on a regular basis. It has almost become a habit to just keep pressing on the circle to keep a tight seal. Worth the money. Your phone is not going to fall from the magnet letting go of the holder.
