ORACAL 651 Vinyl Pinstriping Tape - Stripe Decals, Stickers, Striping - 1/4" Turquoise

Applied the 1/4” red to wheel rims. Adhesion seems great - better than a similarly-priced alternative I tried last year which fell off in places almost immediately. I’ve waited a week since application and driven in the rain a few times and they seem to be holding fast.Other reviews mentioned that the edges of the tape are ragged and I can confirm this - it looks like the 1/4” was cut from a wider roll with a dull blade. If it had been cut cleanly I would have given 5 stars. As it is, the slightly uneven edge isn’t that noticeable - my car is almost 20 years old now, so I’ll take adhesion over perfect edges. If you have a super-nice expensive car or are simply a perfectionist it might annoy you.

I had another person help me apply this to a pontoon boat which definitely made it easier. Great adherence but when you apply it to a wet surface it is also easy to remove. The color is a maroon and stands out wonderfully against the Champaign color of the panels

Color depth is good. Backing paper is not impossible to remove like some and yet adheres well to vehicle.

So I wanted to get a pinstripe on my spoiler. The color is good and the vinyl quality looks good. My only issue is that I can’t trust the ones to be straight. There were parts in the short 5 ft run I did that were narrow, or clearly rippled edge. I think overall it was just how they cut the vinyl. Seemed like they just tried to cut it off a big spool but the blade wasn’t sharp enough or it snagged. I would buy it again if I could be guaranteed straight even cut.

I got the 3/4 inch size and it was super easy to apply to the edge of my pickleball paddle. I was able to lift and adjust the tape as I went to make sure it was nice and straight and it seems to adhere to the plastic very well.

I'm surprised that I can't use these, because Orcal is normally my go-to for vinyl projects. I ordered a 1/4" and 2x 1/8" and none of them are accurately sized. The 1/4" is actually 5/16" and both the 1/8" are 3/16". I could have used the 3/16" in place of the 1/4" and been fine, but I still need a thinner line for the 1/8" piece and Orcal does not offer thinner. I will probably return and find something else because I don't want fat lines and these are much too wide, but I've already done the other pieces in these colors so I'm also rather upset the pinstripes won't match now. Also, this is petty but important, the core/middle does not stay put even a little bit once you remove the packaging, so be prepared for a tangled mess when it falls out and completely unravels on you.

Good for the cost. I used it on a boat. Issue is, the when cut from the master roll there are serrations on the edge so the very edges are not 100% clean

I bought this pinstripe to replace the weathered pinstripe on my 1980 sailboat. It was easy to put on and looks wonderful.

Used this tape to pinstripe a Mustang. Kept the plastic on as much as I could, and cut the tape to size for each panel. This way, I could put the roll aside and focus on installing each pinstripe. Worked really well, and held up after multiple car washes as well. Highly recommend
