I love doenjang, but surprisingly, none of the things on the market taste right.But this soybean paste has a deep flavor.If you look at the ingredients, only healthy ones go in. This is a very good product with just the right ingredients.You can make traditional Korean soybean paste stew, and it's very good to make ssamjang.I highly recommend it!!!

Excelente calidad

Smaller than expected. It looks like an old home made soybean paste. Made a soup as soon as it arrives. I hope not, but tasted of msg. Maybe I am wrong. Not too salty or stinky, so it’s okay for a soup base.

I cook a lot of Korean food and I love this product and brand. Funky, like Rich James in a jar. You’ll enjoy it and will be able to take it home to mother too.

Buen priducto

Is purchased this as it advertised as being "better" than the more generic or factory made doenjang. This paste has a more earthy or musty taste to it with an awful finish. Towards the bottom of the pot and bowl the earthy taste became almost that of dirt.

I usually buy soybean paste for the soybean flavor to enrich other ingredients during woking. This does not provide much soybean taste unfortunately.
