A while ago I got a seed bead kit & started making odds & ends for Barbie.I ran out of some of the colors of beads I needed & I hadn't got all the bits I wanted done so I picked this set to carry on with my new vignette.This does not come gift boxed - there is a compartmentalised plastic box containing all the beads inside a plastic bag which also holds a small bag with the 8 charms (which are coloured on one side & just gold colour on the other), a pair of cheap looking but effective scissors, a roll of clear elastic & a small bag of findings.Unfortunately while the box arrived in one piece while opening it the plastic cracked (I wasn't being rough with it) so there is now a hole big enough for a penny to roll through in the side of the box.Fortunately I have some spare boxes that used to hold false nails I can transfer the contents to (if you use false nails this is a great way to recycle the empty boxes as they always have dividers in them & tend to be really well built from strong plastic).Whilst it is perfectly fine as a storage option (if it doesn't break), it does not look 'gifting ready' so if I was giving this to someone I'd buy a pretty cardboard box & add a small tube of superglue to the set.This set contains everything you need to begin creating.The seed beads are not all that uniform in size but they still look good once you've strung them together.You have enough colours to make some really complex designs & plenty of beads to turn them into reality.It's a very absorbing task designing & creating things from beads, so at this time of year when the weather makes you want to stay inside it's brilliant to pick this sort of thing up.This is also an activity that you can do with your children as long as they are old enough not to put the beads in their mouths.This is a set to keep out of the reach of small children & pets as it contains thousands of small parts.There must be some proper way of securing the elastic thread these sets come with, but I don't know what it is.I found a single or double knot just slipped undone.I solved this by sealing the knot with a dab of superglue.You don't just have to use these for beaded necklaces & bracelets.I have been using them to create Barbie accessories.Other than a beaded belt & some pretty beaded necklaces, I used some of the black & white letter beads to make Barbie sized Scrabble game to go on her coffee table.I got this set to make a beaded curtain for one of her doorways as I'd run out of beads in the colours I wanted to use.I'll be using some of the heart & star shaped ones in one of the beaded curtain designs because I think they will look great.After that I'll be making a Barbie sized mobile out of the charms that come with this set & perhaps one from the star & heart beads too.If you are patient enough you could make beaded coasters (for real sized mugs not for Barbies)My son is making himself a zombie bookmark because it's nearly Halloween.These beads are really versatile & can be used to make so many things.I think these would make a great gift for a craft loving child/teen as long as they were sensible enough not to put the beads in their mouths or an adult.There is very little real skill involved in creating with these, so it's easy to get a nice result very quickly.This lost a star due to the box breaking so easily, which may just have been bad luck.

This set arrived simply packed and in perfect condition.I'm really pleased with this beading set.It arrived in a plastic box, which clicks shut. There are many small compartments and the beads are divided amongst them depending on colour, type etc.There are loads of beads! Lots of tiny seed beads, larger hearts and stars, letter beads. There are also some sun and moon themed charms.Then there are the clasps, split/jump rings, elastic and mini scissors. Definitely a comprehensive set!Be warned that the seed beads are tiny and probably not suitable for young fingers, they're very fiddly.The larger beads might be easier, maybe share making a bracelet?I've made several colourful bracelets so far to give to children, and I've really enjoyed it. It's a lovely flat beads, alphabet letters, seashells, and some golden beads kit for homemaking jewellery. The set includes 8000 pieces of 3mm beads (16 colours in total), colourful love beads plus colourful stars in total approx. 80 pieces and approx. 200 pieces of letter beads in total. The set also contains some accessories: approx. 20 lobster clasps, approx. 100 open rings, elastic line, etc.I think this set is a nice starter kit for girls to start doing their own jewellery at home and keep them occupied for a while.I think even adults could do charming designs of their own jewellery for sale or even to give to someone as a gift. This kit is currently at the price of £13.99, including next-day quick delivery and 30 days returns if anything goes wrong with the product, so I think it's a really good price for the amount of the items you get in the kit, so I definitely can recommend this choice.

What a fantastic hobby set!! This set is perfect to make rings, bracelets, necklaces and many more and provides hours of fun which is much needed during these rainy lockdown days. I got this for my son who loves making things and arts and crafts. The hundreds of beads means he can mix and match loads of different patterns. Very colourful and attractive beads. This bead set is excellent value for money - offering a variety of beads, embellishments, elastic line, scissors, open rings and lobster claws for £13.99. There’s 8000 3mm glass seed beads in 16 different colours plus heart and stars beads. There’s also 200 various letter beads and some lovely moon and stars charms. The case is average quality for these sets and was well packed to ensure they stayed in placed during transit. The elastic line is easily cut with safety scissors provided.My great-niece loves making bracelets but she also loves using seed beads to decorate the bags she makes herself. She was really pleased with this set.

This is a refreshing and colourful 8288pcs of beads and jewellery items for bracelet making.All the pieces are perfectly formed and colourful. The metal alloy pieces look amazing and so does the heart shapes and the cubed letters.Me and my daughters had alot of fun seeing who can make better bracelets. We enjoy threading the various coloured beads to which there are plentiful.You get scissors, bracelet clasps and stretchy string to help get straight to work making bracelets.Plenty of beads to make all sorts of designs.This is a wonderful kit which also represents great value!
