iSi Basics Measuring Cup Silicone Flexible, set of 3, Off-White

Previously had only two green-colored silicone measuring cups—a one-cup and a two-cup. They’re nice, but just a bit flimsy. To fill them you need to hold the bottom of the cup in the palm of your hand, because holding from the sides will squeeze the cup as it is filled distorting the measurement. These cups are FIRM AND FLEXIBLE, so they can be held like normal measuring cups without distorting the measurement at all. Unlike ordinary plastic or glass measuring cups, they pour like a dream! No spilling at all, because there is no need to tilt the cup to start pouring. You simply need to hold the cup slightly tilted and touching the vessel you’re pouring the liquid into and squeeze, to start the neatest measuring cup pour you’ve ever experienced. Before ordering them, I asked the automated answerer if they would nest. It was unable to offer an answer so I posted the question. Very soon, two very kind Amazon customers who had purchased these answered the question. My sincere thanks to each of them for taking their time to answer the question. Their answers were all I needed to proceed with ordering these wonderful measuring cups. YES, they do nest nicely! With all their wonderful features, such as being clear and very easy to read, firm, flexible, microwave/dishwasher safe and nestable for storage, there is no reason to hesitate to treat yourself to these wonderful measuring cups. It’s hard to find good quality silicone measuring cups, especially ones that have accurate measurements; but these get pretty darn close. The cups are solidly made, stable but still flexible enough to squeeze and pour from, and won’t slip out of your hands. When I tested the measurements on the sides by weight they were within one ounce - each cup came in at one ounce over the marked amount (i.e. to fill the 32 oz cup to the line was 33 oz of water). The cups are frosted, but you can clearly see what’s inside of them. They conveniently stack one inside the other, making storage simple and convenient. I’ve bought these to use for resin work, and the resin that sticks inside can be chipped out after it hardens; however, because the cups are so thick, you aren’t able to turn the cups inside out which would make cleaning a little more easy.

These silicone measuring cups have surprised me, and I Love them. Sturdy and flexible, offer a very nice grip, stable weight and balance when filling. One caveat: I purchased these in part, to measure HOT LIQUIDS very regularly. Although they work wonderfully for hot or cold applications, be aware: the silicone is very Hot as well. You will need to be mindful of this. I learn over, and over...the hard way😄 Use a Hot Pad to hold these for pouring hot liquids. OXO Good Grips offers silicone measuring cups that feature a 'honeycomb' texture on the outside to help distribute heat, and I find it helps quite a bit. Regardless of which brand you choose, they are both great. Both WILL discolor over time. Either yellow slightly, or will hold some color from say, coffee, which will cause them to discolor sooner. Dishwasher safe for both these, and OXO. They will both emerge with some water spots. OXO, due to its 'honeycomb' texture, holds water, takes longer to dry. Overall, I still prefer these cups, but that is personal preference. Would still buy these again because I like the full design and quality. They will last YEARS, and that is obvious when you start using them. I only need to remember, hot means...It's HOT😄 Truly hope this review helps.

I absolutely love these measuring cups! They are flexible, but thick enough not to be flimsy. The silicone withstands hot liquids and I also allows me to handle the container with my bare hands even thought the liquid inside is hot. I used the largest one to pour hot caramel in since it is a tall cup and that allowed me to dip large pretzel sticks in the hot caramel to coat them before cooling and dipping in melted chocolate. Cleanup was amazingly easy since the caramel did not stick to the silicone. The fact that I can save space by stacking them is also a huge plus since I have limited cabinet space. I had a Tupperware cup that I had to throw out because I soured milk with vinegar in it and left what I didn't use in it overnight. It caused a reaction and at into the Tupperware measure. That won't happen with silicone. Easy to read - the markings are a little different than in this photo. Williams-Sonoma carries them hand shows the current way the cups are marked. I purchased mine here on Amazon and am planning to purchase more as gifts for both my daughters.

These are great. Seen them reviewed on America's test kitchen said the marks do not wear out even in the dishwasher exactly what I want.

I often put the contents of a can of beans in the middle sized one (16 oz) and add some water and rice and other ingredients to make a soup. I cook the rice and beans in a microwave and can then hold the silicone container without getting burned. It is then convenient to eat from this silicone beaker without the soup getting cold too fast.

This set has pros and cons but glad I purchased and have been using regularly. Pros: they are flexible and easy to grip so pouring into various size containers and bowls are spill/splash free. They also nest nicely for storage and the three sizes work well depending on what you need. I use metric measures so was happy it had those along with the English (oz). Cons: they are not as clear as expected and have a more yellowish/dull cast than the photos. They are also a little tacky to the touch but this turned out to be a plus for gripping. The measurement markings are easy to read but because the material isn’t completely translucent, seeing the level of clear fluids like water requires me to hold it up to the light. Bottom line: Useful purchase that I am happy with despite being a tad pricey and some discrepancy with photos.
