Delicious and even smells good!
I'm a regular Encha matcha drinker and it has always been very satisfactory to me. My sister gifted me this matcha for Christmas and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it smelled upon opening the seal. It would have become my go to except that the price is at a point where I can enjoy it only on very special occasions. I would still highly recommend this if you can afford it.

Excellent tea if you want tea for a tea ceremony.
Other reviewers are correct that this is an excellent tea if you want tea for a tea ceremony. It is very high quality tea. For the common tea drinker who is not interested in performing the quite beautiful ceremony of the tea ceremony, but only wants an easy to make delicious and restorative cup of tea (that would be me) there are other wonderful matcha teas that are considerably less expensive. My choice would be Traditional Medicinals Organic Green Tea Matcha with Toasted Rice. It comes in a tea bag, and is easier to prepare than powdered tea. And OMG, it is delicious, especially if you like your tea with a hint of toasted rice.

Very smooth and sweet matcha -- best in water
#organic, #madeinJapanI make matcha every morning and drink matcha two ways, in hot water and whisked with my chasen and the second way is to mix it directly with milk to make a matcha latte. I don't add sugar so the taste of the matcha really has to shine. I've tried 20+ brands of matcha and this one is one of the smoothest ones with a very delicate flavor of all the brands I've tried. The color of this was vibrant deep green color which is associated with good quality matcha. The smell was fresh and grassy.WATER mixed with Chasen (whisked at 170F)I found this matcha to be very good and have a smoothest mouth feel of all the matcha's I've tried before. It has little to no umami and is sweeter than matcha's I've tried in the past. There is also a good amount of astringent flavor that builds up nicely and, as that builds, the floral hints of this matcha start coming out. There is no bitterness to this matcha making it very enjoyable mixed this way. If anything the taste of this matcha is one of the more delicate flavor profiles of all the matcha I've tried and is very delightful to drink when just frothed with water.MILK latte mixed with frotherI found this matcha too delicate to hold itself up against the milk. Many of the delicate flavors are lost unless an excess amount of matcha is used. So while I can make a latte with this matcha, I found that I have other more bolder matchas better suited where the matcha flavor can shine through the milk.Overall I would recommend this matcha as an excellent ceremonial grade matcha to be mixed with water. The delicate flavor and the building of the astringent flavors were very enjoyable. I would not recommend this premium matcha for mixing with lattes and definitely not for baking as it would be a waste of such good quality matcha. There are cheaper alternatives with bolder flavors that can hold it's own against adding milk or other ingredients when baking. As with all matcha preparations, make sure you do not exceed 175F-180F when preparing your matcha as it can destroy the delicate flavors and make even the best matcha bitter.Review For:Kagoshima Tea Organic Matcha Green Tea Powder – 30g Ceremonial Grade Matcha – Premium Organic Matcha with Natural Sweetness and Grassy Taste – Easy Brewing Matcha

Everything I Expect out of a Ceremonial Grade.
The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love green tea but nothing beats matcha green tea. This is my favorite type of green tea and it has the most nutritional benefits to it. If you aren't familiar with how the different grades of matcha works, ceremonial is the highest and most purest grade out there. It is made from the youngest of green tea leaves and it offers the most nutritional benefit. As you go on down the grade scale you get older and lesser quality tastes. These are good and still have benefits but ceremonial grade is the absolute best. This is a nice smooth and grassy matcha. It has absolutely 0 bitter tones to it, compared with culinary and baking grades.Look at the beautiful bright green vibrant color this is! The color is a tail sign of how fresh and what what quality your matcha is and this one passes with flying colors. It is most impressive.I noticed another reviewer felt that this was grainy and that the matcha settled at the bottom of the cup. Here is a little tip on how to use your ceremonial grade matcha to its fullest potential:If you are going to purchase the finest quality of matcha like this here, it might be worthwhile to invest in a little matcha making set. These sets usually includes a whisk. If you whisk your matcha it will break apart any granules or clumps, creating a smooth and frothy matcha. This is far superior than just pouring water in and mixing the powder in and makes for a more pleasant experience.

High-quality, organic Kagoshima matcha powder
This is a high-quality, organic matcha powder. It is a very fine powder in bright green color. It dissolves well in 160°F hot water and whisks to a slight frothy texture. It has a very nice earthly and vegetal flavor with a slight sweetness to it. Not bitter. I use it to make matcha tea and it is delicious. This comes in a tin can sealed with a pull tab lid. It has an outer screw-on lid with a sealant inside to keep it airtight and fresh after opening. Mine has a best before date of about 10 months from now. The ingredient is Japanese green tea from Kagoshima. Organic certified by JAS in Japan. Product of Japan. All in all, this is an excellent organic matcha powder. High-quality and fresh. It makes good, tasty ceremonial matcha tea. It is also great for making flavorful matcha latte. The price is pretty reasonable for Kagoshima matcha of this quality. I would recommend giving it a try. Excellent taste and aroma.
