48 million single-use “green” propane bottles end up in landfills each year. By contrast, the refillable Ignik Gas Growler is more economical than single-use, 16-ounce bottles and more portable than traditional 20-lb propane tanks. Each refill costs roughly the same as one single-use, 16-ounce bottle but provides 5 times the burn time, saving you money while you spare the landfill from another 5 bottles. Composed of a DOT-approved, welded steel propane tank with 5-pound (1.2 gallon) capacity, the Growler can be refilled at your local propane service stations, just the same as bigger tanks. The compact Ignik Gas Growler is ideal for situations that require portability, or when your space is limited such as camping, RVing, boating, fishing, tailgating, overland, etc. The Deluxe kit includes everything you need to fuel your existing stove, heater or other propane appliances. The 4-foot hose with adapter connects to most types of propane-burning devices, including all 1-inch 20UNEF connectors, which includes many popular 2-burner camp stoves, as well as 0.5-inch QCC1/OPD compatible products such as standard home BBQ grills. The rugged carry case insulates and protects the Growler while providing a convenient way to transport and secure the kit with its Nylon carry handle and MOLLE webbing. The Ignik Propane Gas Growler is a safe and convenient solution for portable heating and cooking that is both economical and more responsible than traditional alternatives. DOT-approved, 12-year valve certification, manufacturer’s warranty. Dimensions 14 x 9 x 9 inches, weight 10.5 pounds empty, 15.5 pounds full.

Do NOT Purchase!
The only reason to buy this product is for the travel case. You can purchase a 5 lb. propane tank from Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, etc for $50-75.With that said, be warned that the case is garbage. Pulled it out of the box and the foam inserts pulled right out. Super disappointed with the product and Ignik customer service. Customer service offered to send me a new case while acknowledging that it was a problem and that they haven't fixed it yet. You've been warned.

Operation
Terrible. Recieved was fine. But bottom of bottle was rusty, went to fill. But there’s a pin hole leak in weld seam. Very unhappy. Now I can’t send back because it had propane in it. And will not ship. Due to hazmat. Very very unhappy. Tried to file to get money back or another bottle. But nobody responding

The Perfect Fuel Solution for Camping
I go camping a lot (overland/car/ski resort parking lots right now) and always feel guilty about using up and throwing away those little green canisters every time I head out. I looked up the Gas Growler and figured I'd try it out. I had it in two days and took it in to get filled which was super easy. I couldn't believe it only cost $2.60! I would have to spend 4X that to get the same amount in throw-away green canisters. The system is super easy to use and it fired up my two-burner stove for a weekend of cooking and my fire-ring every night with more juice to spare. The fire-ring is key since I run into burn bans a lot in the summer. The case is awesome and has daisy chain webbing loops on the outside where I attach some cooking utensils, and will use them to secure to my rig outfit this summer. The padded handle makes it easy to carry and the overall case just looks dope. The lid and sides are either padded or reinforced and I'd have no concerns about durability. Its definitely is well-made. All-in-all, I'm psyched about the Gas Growler. I'll never use those throw-away canisters again. Its my new camp kit fave.

Save a Ton of Money and Mother Earth
After the initial cost of the purchase you will only have to pay for a refill which is equal to the cost of one green bottle. A refill is equal to 5 of the green bottles in terms of gas usage. The green bottles wind up in the trash or landfill. This products saves money and Mother Earth. Love love love it. Highly recommend.

Do.
Adore this small propane tank and carry bag. Other reviewers complain about price but we shopped (both online and locally) and found comparably sized 5 lb propane tanks are running near $80.00, excluding tax and/or shipping. A carry bag can be sourced from $30.00. Do the math. The bag is well made and appears sturdy though time and travel will prove its merits. The fill-er-up propane guy fell in love with the tanks. The more we travel the more we appreciate smaller, more portable items. Ordering more.

Takes a little effort but worth it. Easy.
Very handy. It makes using one of the Buddy heaters very easy.Filling can confuse some places and initial use can be a little annoying when you need to hook the adapter hose and get that purged. It may not flow right away but will work. I had another hose so that was fine, worked then I swapped back to the one in the bundle. No problem since. Easy.

Perfect for camping
Holds enough gas for my camping grill while still being small enough to store.

Neat little portable tank.
Things I like. The case is attractive and functional. The gas line attaches easily. I use for camping stove/shower and it works great. Obviously it is a bit more expensive vs a box store propane tank but the case and tank was worth it to me. Suggestion - spray it with a fabric protector to the white cloth portion of the case. Company backs product with great service.
