WEYLAND Bushcraft Kukri Machete - Full Tang with MOLLE Sheath

I have used this kukri as a wilderness search and rescuer for years now, and it has become a cornerstone of my field rig. Had I been unaware of the price of this tool, I would have assumed it to be well over $100 - it has a great weight and balance, holds an edge for surprisingly long duration of punishment, takes to a whetstone effortlessly, isn't quick to rust even when in-between cleanings, the finish holds up to practical work, and the handle feels sturdy and ergonomic in the hand. I had purchased this as a trial blade to see if I enjoyed the kukri style for my field work, only to stumble upon what is undoubtedly the best one you can get for anything even double the very reasonable price point. On top of the blade having proved itself time-and-time again on rescue and recovery missions, Weyland as a company is run by extremely fine individuals of high character and quality. Based in the US, they earnestly respond to communications and requests from their customers, and my own personal interactions with them have only reinforced all the positive experiences I've read about from other satisfied customers. Weyland is an organization that makes quality blades at an exceedingly reasonable price, takes their commitment to customer service seriously, and unreservedly stands behind first responders.

The price, the quality, balance, and the sharpness of this blade is incredible. Used during a camping trip when we forgot our chairs, was able to create a stable and strong bench using it and a couple other hand tools. This thing is handy also for skimming bark off trees, and we also used it to make hot dog and stores sticks as well as skewers for our kabobs. The sheath is nice as well, it hangs on the side of my Military issued ACU MOLLE ii rucksack on the opposite side as my pistol. The comfort and size of the handle is meant for long term use and durable. I took off the wrist rope, as I felt it got in the way more than helped, but it isn't a bad feature to have for safety all in all. Will recommend to anyone looking for a machete, this can do it all. My GF is assembling her bugout bag similar to mine and I will be sure she is well informed about this product. I had purchased one of these a few years ago, but I handed it off to one of my grandsons. So I had to grab another, it’s an awesome knife for the price. To me it’s a little short to be a machete for field grass, but it makes for an excellent chopper and camp knife. Will easily clear branches and other woody brush, and it’s easily toted on field hikes. Sharp out of the box, and the sheath is functional and easy to carry. Good steel.

Item was just as described. It is a light,sturdy machete that keeps its edge. I liked it so much that I bought it twice.

Well made, light weight, fantastic sheath especially for camping and rural exploration etc. The handle is comfortable and the edge is sharp out of the package. One more thing that is important to me… it was well packaged, and when it arrives you know you have a brand new product. Well done to these folks for putting out a great product that lives up to the description. Some of my knives are from “condor” and “ka bar,” and I love them; but this one ergonomically…. it feels good! With that said, if you are in the market for an extremely heavy kukri, this one isn’t for you, but if you’re looking for a light weight blade that won’t weigh down your backpack, this is the one! I definitely recommend this kukri.

I ordered a knife. I received it on time and it is a very good knife. I like kukri knives and I especially like the versatile MOLLE connections on the sheath. I no longer go into the woods without this knife. But, it is the after-market service I received about which I'd like to tell you. A few days after I had received the knife I received a notification that I had been sent a Survival Guide by Weyland Outdoors. I looked at a few pages of it, then printed it out for easier reading. It is an excellent Guide. I'm 74 years old and have been camping since I was 12 and a Boy Scout, so I knew most of what was in the Guide, but I had never had it laid out so clearly before. I wish I'd had this Guide for my earlier years camping. I appreciate that Weyland saw fit to send me a copy of this Guide and will take it with me whenever I go camping in the future. Weyland is clearly a company that believes in giving you more than just what you purchased.

This Kukri machete is no joke! I cleared out some thick brush for an hour and a half, and I was actually trying to test it to the upmost and it was highly impressive. Other than some scuff marks and needing to clean it, it handled the task at hand with ease. I would definitely recommend this product.
