Review: Tasty treats - I have been giving my dog these treats for years and just sent them to friends who just adopted a dog. He loves them, they are only three calories a treat and are very tasty. I know they are tasty because by mistake my friend put them in his soup and said they were very good. Review: Great training treats - I have an Australian Cattle Dog and was looking to expand my training treat options, particularly to a dry crunchy treat with low calorie content. I can be really sensitive to smells, and many meaty-smelling treats make me queasy. I also find freeze-dried treats to be weirdly chalky feeling and they leave residue on my fingers. I am fine with most chewy treat textures, but they are often higher in calories and don’t do well for long periods of time outside the package. If you have some sensory sensitivities, this may relate to you. These treats altogether have a faint aroma and are a great small size/ low calorie content for training. They are crunchy and dry so there is no issue with them getting weird by drying out if you leave some out of the package like chewy treats do. They have the dry, not chalky texture of a tiny biscuit, but are much less dense than most biscuits- they have a light crunchy feel, and sound like your dog is eating a Goldfish cracker. They are more firm than a Goldfish cracker though, and do not crumble. I got the chicken soup flavor and the cheese and egg flavor to try out. The chicken soup one smells faintly like dusty chicken or chicken broth. It is not offensively dead smelling but it does smell faintly dead. Doesn’t turn my stomach but I wouldn’t pick it if there were better options available. Still much better aroma than most other meat treats, and if this was the only flavor I would probably continue to buy it. The cheese and egg flavor smells faintly of cheesy crackers. One of the better treat smells I have smelled, and totally free of that “dead smell” that meat-containing treats usually have- of course it has no meat in it, just cheese and egg. I don’t notice an egg smell at all. I would actually consider putting these in my pocket and not just a treat pouch or a bowl. From my end of things, this is a really good treat. The cheese flavor has a nice smell, they have a nice crunch sound when my dog eats them, and the size is perfect. As for my dog’s opinion: in side by side comparisons of these two flavors, even if I switch hands, she picks the cheese flavor every time. 🤝 Dogs respond more to stronger smells, though, so when I did a side my side comparison of the cheese flavor with Wonder Nuggets peanut butter flavor, which smell strongly of peanut butter, she picked those. Even if I held the peanut butter treat far away and put the Charlee Bear treat right in front of her muzzle, she reached for the peanut butter nugget. The Charlee Bear treats are more convenient (because of their size and because they are dry and don’t leave behind a residue), lower price/ better value, and lower calories than the Wonder Nuggets, and if the only treat around is the Charlee Bear treat, my dog has no qualms obsessing over them. Because they have such a faint scent, maybe some dogs would not find them interesting. I would probably like a stronger smell with the cheese flavor, but on the flip side, I am glad the chicken flavor is not strong smelling. They are not special enough for a special moment treat, but I would give these a shot in the surprise boxes I make by putting treats into crumpled lunch bags and putting those crumpled balls into a cracker-type box. I usually use stronger smelling treats for those so the faint smell would possibly make them harder to find. Overall I think these are great training treats!

Dogs love them
My dogs love these. They are low in calories and also not oily so they don't make a mess in the treat pouch.

Amazing for Training – Low Calorie & Dogs Love Them! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
These treats have been an absolute game-changer for training our dogs! One of the things I love most is that they’re low in calories but still packed with flavor—our doodles go nuts for them! It’s so nice to be able to reward them frequently during training sessions without worrying about overfeeding. They also have a decent amount of protein, which is great for keeping our pups energized and focused. The size is perfect for quick rewards, and they don’t leave any mess or odor behind. If you're looking for a healthy, effective, and dog-approved training treat, this is it. We always keep a bag on hand! Highly recommend!
