great alarm clock, nice features, fills all my expectations
the alarm clock (casio DQ750F in black color purchased from watchtronics) fills all my expectations:Pros:Great and large display easy to see without glassesbuilt quality is awesomegreat design (minimalistic in my opinion)packs features like thermometer and full calendarthe display is back light which is far better than standard LCD illumination (this clock keeps the entire display illuminated when pressing the snooze/light botton on the top for at least 30 seconds making it ideal in dark rooms etc)sound alarm is very good, average, not too loud to disturb anyone else at homethe body of the item is made of plastic, no painting which avoids marks over timeeasy to configure and operatevery good price for its features (even better than the standard alarm clock found in smartphones running windows phone 8.1)removable standard AA batteries (not to worry for proprietary built in sealed batteries like most modern gadgets this days)there are four colors to choose from (black, white, blue and silver)cons:the item itself could have been made slimmer (my last casio alarm clock was slimmer and had almost identical specs, the screen was smaller though)the item looks almost identical to the picture shown in amazon (the only difference is that the top bottom use to snooze and light the clock is blue instead of black, the rest of the body is all matte black)

The alarm will not silence after XX minutes like it does in "alarm" mode
I have been using this clock for a while now and I down graded the rating from 4 to 3 stars. The problem I have with this clock is the viewing angle. I have to manually tilt it so that I can view thedisplay.First comment that I submitted:The main fact that one should know before purchasing this clock is that it has an accuracy of + or - 60 seconds a month. From past experience, this common with inexpensive clocks. You can set the year, but it does not display. In "snooze" mode the alarm will continue to sound every 5 minutes until you manually turn it off.The alarm will not silence after XX minutes like it does in "alarm" mode.Other than the low whining sound the blue illuminator makes when it is lit, the clock is silent.Anyone know why an illuminator light makes a sound?

Worth your money
When I looked for a table clock, at first I just wanted the very cheap one, which comes with big numbers (and with thermometer would be great). However, after I read the reviews and found that some cheap one may be not worth to risk, so I decided to look for the higher price one and I got this.I made right decision! This one is a little too pricey for me, but I think at least it should last for long. The screen is big enough (and not too big for my little table next to my bed, which filled with lots of stuffs already). The light doesn't bother me during the night, and it's so easy to turn the light on with the button on the top (as many reviewers have mentioned). At first, from the picture I thought it might be hard to find that button in the night, but it's just the whole thing on top, so you just tap it. I wish the light goes on a bit longer, though, but it's not a big issue. Easy to switch for fahrenheit to celsius or switch it back. (I came from a country that uses celsius, so I'm usually confused. Now I've got both!) Easy to set date and time. So, what else you want?Well, this clock requires you to look straight to it; otherwise, the numbers shown are fade. So, as the position of my pillow is a little bit lower than the table, and the screen is lean back, I have to lift my head up to see the screen... It's not a big deal, though.Ship fast!!!

Good digital clock with temperature and date.
The clocks were delivered the next day as ordered. They are nice looking and it is a plus to have a clock that displays the temperature and date.I would recommend this clock but be advised that it is not a travel clock.

Terrible design flaw+ Casio won't back this product
I have used a similar model of this Casio alarm clock for years, and loved it.It performed as expected , and all was good,It was time to replace it, so I purchased this model, however upon receiving it, I had an issue that whenever I would press the snooze/light button to see the time at night , the light would shine, but the time would fade out, so all I saw was the blue light , when I returned it for a replacement, I got the same issue , only the new one also kept on resetting itself to 12:00 every time I would press the snooze button , worst part is that after contacting Casio, they say that they stopped making alarm clocks 9 years ago, and that they won't honor any warranty on it.PLEASE BEWARE IF YOU BUY THIS AND HAVE ANY ISSUES, CASIO WON'T HELP YOU.

Would not buy again
I have used Casio clocks for 30+ years, so I went back to Casio for a new one.Good: The time display has nice large font and the light is easy to use at night.Medium: The length of time for the snooze function is a few minutes too short for me. I might as well just get up.Bad: Definitely too large for me to take on business travel. After 2 years, the bottom part of the display (date and temp) does not work; no improvement with new batteries. There is an odd non-ergonomic feature on the back slider switch (normal - time set - alarm set - date set). For me, the most used settings are "normal" and "alarm set". But since date set is at the end of travel, I have sometimes carelessly messed up the date instead of the alarm setting. I would have designed this with normal and alarm set at the ends of sliding to make the common functions more automatic. Frankly, it is easier for me to use my iPhone as an alarm than this clock.
