Duralex picardie, clear 25 cl tumbler, 8-3/8 ounce, set of 6

I'm so happy to be able to review these glasses. The first set I ordered came in pieces, completely destroyed. The replacement set is great and the perfect size for me. I don't know if they are the advertised measurements because I don't care. They're what I needed. Strong and sturdy.

Despite limited cupboard room, I added these 10+ oz glasses to the 16 oz I already had, and I love them. Just the right size for a glass of V8, a quick cappuccino, a little yogurt parfait, or just milk for your oreos. Modestly heavy and a pleasure to hold. Perfect for those mornings when a sturdy grasp is needed to get some juice in you. Stackable, durable (one dropped in our cast iron sink = no damage), and as easily washed and dried as your hand - faster than the dishwasher. Pretty, in a pleasing, utilitarian way. A workhorse - should last a lifetime.

Matched my ten year old Duralex glasses I ordered 2 different sizes to replace broken ones. The new ones are satiny smooth, no scratches or chips which they arrived. They do appear to have a very slight blue-gray color whereas my original ones from William Sonoma are completely clear! The design is timeless and they are very durable!

Refreshing my drinkware and remembered the feel and style of these glasses traveling around France and had no idea they were a thing. Amazon searches for "fluted small tumbler" were getting me ugly results so I resorted to outside searching and discovered Duralex the brand and they they own this design! Back to Amazon I came and voilà, search results. Everyone's warnings had me nervous and turned out true: when ordered solo the product box is put as is in a small box with packing paper and lots of air and DOES rattle around - glasses knocking each other and no stability. When I ordered a different size with other items they were packed together and the glasses were more secure. I did think about it: the brand promise is the glasses are durable and hard to break. There were no cracks, the glasses looked great. There were little scrapes here and there but that is part of the charm of the style of these - they are meant to be used well, stacked, and banged around and are used in many French restaurants and households. They are not meant to be pristine and treated like fine drinkware. Case in point my friend in France sent me a picture of the brand as sold locally there at a big grocery store chain - and the packaging is exactly the same. Super thin bendy cardboard, no structure at all! So we ARE getting what we pay for! Glasses have done well in my dishwasher.

Durable and attractive.

Duralex used to come in a taller and more slender juice glass (same ounce-size) which was my favorite but I can no longer find it. If you prefer a squattier glass, then you’ll like the ease of grasping and holding this glass as well as its sturdy, comfortable weight.

Guys look up in Goodwills store, they often have these glasses in different sizes. I got mine for 99c each and was 6 of them. And paid $6.00 for all pack !

Love these glasses. For warm drinks like tea, coffee and hot chocolate I prefer them over pottery and porcelain. The size is ideal, not too big and not too small. These are the largest variant while maintaining that distinct short and round aesthetics. When you go for the 36 cl (12.62 oz) and 50 cl (16.87 oz) the glasses become taller and more slender and they loose that particular 'chubby' shape.
