Not as heavy as most gloves
After buying 2 sets of therapy gloves containing clay and other natural properties and hating them, luckily I found these. Don’t get me wrong. I’m all for the use of natural and organic products for healing the body. But I have rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia so those gloves were VERY heavy and “lopsided” (from the contents inside the gloves shifting around) on my hands making my hands really uncomfortable. These gloves are much more comfortable and a bit lighter than the “natural “ ones, the fabric is comfortable on my skin and they work hot and cold.

NOT for heat – JUST to use cold
Just taking these out of the bag and box they already felt pretty cool – even when putting on my hands. They stayed cool. So even rom temperature is pretty cool. Because they are mittens, they will practically fit anyone. I have long fingers and had no issue. It doesn’t fit snugly either so you can move all your fingers around a lot inside the mitten. The gel is not all the way around exactly - it’s literally on the front and the back and there’s a small (maybe half an inch) line all around the mittens from the wrist to the tips of the fingers all the way back to the wrist where there is no gel. I guess it helps lay flat for storage better. You get two identical mittens – meaning the logo is in the same place – so one will show the logo and the other logo will be face down on the other hand. Not a problem. If you put these in the freezer – YOWZA they get cold and truly hold the cold too. These can NOT be used for heating purposes, though. The directions say to put in microwave for 10 seconds. I did (from room temp) and they didn’t feel warm at all and I have a REALY good microwave. It said to add 5 seconds in intervals until they got warm/hot. I put them in for another 10 – then another 10 seconds – and then another 10. They were barely luke warm. And once I put them on, they lost the teensy heat they may have had almost instantly. So again, NOT for warm/hot treatments – but work WONDERFULLY for cold treatments. With warming in the microwave, I was surprised that it felt like moist heat, though. Very moist – and another reason I didn’t want to keep putting them in the microwave for so long – probably not good for the gel. If you need heated ones – try a clay or seed filled glove or mitten – they work well with heat. PS – the gel lining on one looked a bit “pokey” right out of the package. It did not affect performance, though. If you found my review helpful, why not click the “helpful” button. Thanks! Enjoy your day! : )

Excellent product
I keep one glove in the freezer and the other to heat up in the microwave. 30-60 sec works for heat. Very comforting in the morning when my hand and fingers are feeling stiff.

Couldn’t Regulate Temperature and Heat Doesn’t Last
These came out of the microwave either too cool or too hot. Heated per directions. Once they were cool enough, they were hard and painful to put on, especially for arthritic hands. The heat lasted for 1.5 minutes max. They’re bulky and the material doesn’t reach my skin without me pressing down on them. I wouldn’t recommend, even if you don’t have arthritis.

Glove Ice Packs that Work Great
I work in a shop fulltime and use a lot of different tools. At the end of the day my hands are pretty sore. I figured I would give these a shot to see if they could help. I was surprised that they hold the cold and heat as long as they do.

Slimy gel leaks through the fabric
These gloves are thin fabric sheets with naked (unprotected) gel in the middle. When they arrived they were a little dusty, and I wanted to wash off the dust. I tried to wash with a damp towel (as directed). The dust came off but then the gloves felt oddly "slimy." This must have been a little bit of soluble gel leaking through the fabric. The more water I used, the worse it got. I finally ignored the directions and threw them in a bowl of water for a while, to try to make the slime go away. This made the gel swell up to about 2x the original size.I recommend looking for a pair of gloves that has separate, removable gel packs so the fabric can be cleaned properly. This product was a total waste of money.
