Tone's Spices Taco Seasoning Traditional Blend for Mexican Dishes - Net Weight 23 oz

This used to be my favorite taco seasoning, but somewhere the recipe changed. I just got a new one and couldn't help but notice that it had no flavor. Looked at the label and the second ingredient is flour. So this is primarily filler garbage. If you want to add 24 grams of carbs to your meat like the label says, then still not have any flavor and have to practically double it to 48 grams of carbs, be my guest. But this is garbage now.

I ordered this because this is the brand that we had been using, purchased at Sam's Club. Well, Sam's closed and I ordered it online. First of all, I tasted the finished product and there was no "Taco" taste to it. I considered putting in more, but husband said, no, he wasn't after spicy that night. We ate the tacos noticing that they were pretty bland. We had some leftovers, which I used the next day in a taco salad. WOW! THE SALT! That's all I could taste. I don't know what happened, but this isn't the Tone's I had been using for the past 6 or 7 years.

We LOVE this seasoning for our weekly taco Tuesday. I used to buy it from Sam's Club but they closed the store in my area. We just couldn't even consider going with another brand. Not too spicy for the kids either! We even use it when we make simple nachos as a snack. Put tortilla chips on a plate, cover with shredded cheese and sprinkle a little seasoning over the cheese!

My friends and I swore by this seasoning for the last couple of years but sometime in 2018 the recipe changed. We thought it could have been just a bad lot number but the last container we bought from Sams Club and the container we bought from Amazon both had lackluster flavor. I'd recommend mixing your own before purchasing this.

Tones is my familys’ fav packaged taco seasoning so, I was pretty excited to find it available on Amazon, especially once my local big box store closed and the other big box store only carries the ‘other’ brand of taco seasoning. I’ve recently found a homemade spice blend that we really like so, we’re not going thru the Tones at our usual pace but I am glad its an available, and convenient, option when needed.

Great product! Only brand I buy for taco seasoning. The size is great, lasts a long time but still fits well in the cupboard. However this delivery the product came, expired for a year! And the system is not allowing me to initiate a replacement.

I don't have to say much about this product. Hopefully you use it! We have found this to be the best seasoning out there for ALL of our Mexican dishes. A MUCH better buy than purchasing those individual McCormick envelopes from the grocery store. This is a good size container, good for many, many, many meals :)

We have been using Tone's products for several years. This seasoning seem to contain a lower salt content compared to other taco seasoning products. Provides an excellent taste and is not too hot so you can enjoy the taste of your food.
