Pilot Kakuno Medium-Nib Fountain Pen, Black Body Blue Cap Body (FKA-1SR-LM)

A good pen that works flawlessly

I had a Click Aristocrat broad nib and after a page, it would go from broad to medium, the feed used in it is cheap resulting in subpar ink flow. That's why decided to buy this Pilot pen. I was torn between Metropolitan and Kakuno. But as I have small delicate hands, light weight Kakuno seemed the better option. The triangular grip section is not that thick, I can easily put my fingers around it, but it would have been better if the grip was a bit thinner. I had to slightly tilt the nib in the grip section to adjust to my preference. It writes well, well balanced, smooth enough. I changed the ink in the cartridge from Pilot Black to Iroshizuku Ajisai. It called for an operation with two syringes and an extra hand. The pen was probably made in 2021, so may be it will accept the Con 70. Will have to see to it later.

Very very smooth

The subtle sound the nib makes while writing would have been even better with a finer nib. Medium is great with thick strokes but I should have got fine nib first because of my small handwriting.

One side (horizontal line) is very smooth but other one (opposite horizontal line) was quite scratchier, try other cheap pen before directly opting for this one.

Excellent product. However, only issue is that only one refillable ink cartridge is given. Need to purchase Additional cartridges or refillable converter separately.

Worst product ever this very low quality and this not worth any money my pen is leaking soonbad that I got half of my shirt on ink
