Good ole Hope’s products.
I’ve used these for years and they always work.

Good quality patch.
Good quality patch. Tight fit for 22 LR, so I will try the 1 inch size.

I have been using these patches for years and they are easy to use. My only complaint is that they sometimes leave some fibers/cotton fragments behind in the bore. Still worth it, but also bought the synthetic ones from Hoppes to use as well.

Hoppes patches
Like not having to cut or tear patches out of old cloth. Saves time, less strings, residue in barrel. Perfect size to clean barrel without missing spots with a small homemade patch, or getting stuck with one too big.

Didn't need it as much as I thought
I got these patches to clean my .22 pistols (M&P 22 and Sig P226-22). I was afraid to use the patches for my 9mm pistols because I didn't want them to get stuck in the bore (had that happen with a .22 rifle when I was in high school - made my Dad angry and we had to cut off the barrel to remove the part that had the stuck patch).I use the .22 patches to work solvent in the barrel after brushing it, and to put some lube through the barrel. And after each of those uses, I use them dry to get rid of the solvent/lube. However, other than that, for work on the outside and in the frame of the pistols, I find that the larger 9mm patches are easier to handle, so I use about 6 of the .22 patches and maybe 4 of the 9mm.Without thinking last time, I used a 9mm patch through the bore, and didn't realize it until I was done with that operation. They worked just fine. So I may try it again and if it continues to work, I'll just standardize on the 9mm patches. I think the trick is to push them all the way through and then pull them back out. Don't stop halfway and reverse directions - I seem to remember that's what I did with the rifle I ruined. If anyone has any advice for me - like to NEVER use the larger patches in a .22 because I just got lucky this one time, I'd appreciate hearing it.

Patches - New and Improved
4 of 5 stars. Good patches but I think they are too thin and/or lack substance. To clean the barrel of my Ruger Mark III, I put two through a loop. One patch just doesn't seem to get all sides of the barrel no matter which solvent I use.JAN 19, 2015 UPDATE: I've changed the rating from 4 to 5 stars. I have bought another bag of patches (in addition to a .270 caliber rifle) and these patches work as they should. Maybe it is the new solvent I'm using (Ballistol) but these patches do show they are cleaning all sides of both my pistol and rifle barrels. Maybe these patches are a little thicker. Maybe it is the solvent that works better then Hoppes. But whether a .22 pistol of a 270 caliber rifle. I don't need more then 3 patches (three passes with one patch on either a brass loop or a brass plunger) for a clean barrel.

These are very small patches
I didn’t realize how small these were. They do the job tho. Next time I’ll read the fine print. If you don’t mind a small square then these are for you. Great deal for the money.
