Very practical and immediately useful
The author knows her craft. The tips and topics are short and sweet yet exactly to the point. Even thought there isn't many templates that we can use but the ideas are well structured. I can make use of them in my work in drafting, editing and negotiating contract.

Not a real book - just a collection of tips
As the title suggests, this is just tips. Not a book that has an actual framework for understanding contracts. Cannot help train you to review and understand contract. The tips appear to be a collection of blog posts that have just been copied and pasted into the book. Now, some of the tips are helpful and interesting. In some cases tips refer to actual legal concepts but lack the actual legislative or case law references to back the assertions the author is making.

Set your mindset about contract drafting right through this book
The author's message is loud and clear: you should not miss the forest for the trees in contract drafting. This book does not have any sample clause or contain deep legal discussions. Instead, it talks about how to think in drafting contracts, which is important and the first step to becoming a discerning drafter.

A brilliant clause-by-clause guide to drafting contracts!
I follow Laura on LinkedIn and am a huge fan of her posts. Having her advice all in one book is extremely helpful when I'm looking to search for a particular clause or term. I keep this book close to my desk at all times and continue to learn something new each time I flip to a different page.

I was mixed on this book, because of it's paucity of information, but it does have some good tips
There is a lot of wasted text in this book. For example: each page has a section title, then text below repeating the title. (Knock ten pages off the book for this kind of thing.) Continuing to read it, there are some useful tips. I just wish the author would have extrapolated more on her assertions - it's a big failing of the book.Overall: one good idea gleaned from a 15 dollar book is worth it. But it could have been a very good book.
