Very practical and immediately useful
The author knows her craft. The tips and topics are short and sweet yet exactly to the point. Even thought there isn't many templates that we can use but the ideas are well structured. I can make use of them in my work in drafting, editing and negotiating contract.

A brilliant clause-by-clause guide to drafting contracts!
I follow Laura on LinkedIn and am a huge fan of her posts. Having her advice all in one book is extremely helpful when I'm looking to search for a particular clause or term. I keep this book close to my desk at all times and continue to learn something new each time I flip to a different page.

Excellent resource for transactional lawyers and law students
I do know the author in full disclosure, but this is a terrific compendium of practical tips and insights on contracts and negotiations. The book began as a series of daily LinkedIn posts that became very popular, so the style is fresh and direct. It discusses operative provisions as well as boilerplate, and she adds many anecdotes or observation from years of practice both in-house and at a firm. Highly recommended.

I was mixed on this book, because of it's paucity of information, but it does have some good tips
There is a lot of wasted text in this book. For example: each page has a section title, then text below repeating the title. (Knock ten pages off the book for this kind of thing.) Continuing to read it, there are some useful tips. I just wish the author would have extrapolated more on her assertions - it's a big failing of the book.Overall: one good idea gleaned from a 15 dollar book is worth it. But it could have been a very good book.
