Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: WAS REALY NICE BOOK FOR FOR MODEL BUILDING HOBBY..VERY DETAIL BOOK YES WELL NEED FOR HOBBYIS.. Review: Great book on a specialty US Army heavy vehicle. If you like learning about military equipment, I think you will enjoy this book. It is mostly a collection of color photos with a few black and white photos in pages 4 - 10. The captions to the photos are very informative -- none of "This is a truck" sort of thing. The photos show an incredible amount of detail of the construction and components of the two transporter models. Some of the photos depict modifications to the M1070 as a result of experience in Iraq. Pages 4 - 5 provide a short history of WW II and post-war era tank transporters. Pages 6 and 36 describe the design development histories of the M911 transporter of the 1970s and the M1070 transporter of the early 2000s. Page 14 provides a tabulation of the dimensions, weights, and performance characteristics of the M911.
