been nicely made, and lasted
These things are so solid and soft! I bought them for my husband but I'm seriously considering just getting my own pair so he can get more use out of these than me. I've bought other items from the BearPaw company as well and they have all held up well, been nicely made, and lasted. The solid bottom on these have made them a much more universal item which was just what I needed for my husband. He can easily go out to get the mail in these and then come back in and kick his feet up and keep them warm, all in comfort.

Great at first, wore out way too fast
I bought these in late November 2013, and as of my review now in late February 2014, only 3 months after my purchase, the shearling lining on the bottom of my slippers is almost entirely worn away. Keeping in mind that I was out of town for Thanksgiving and Christmas (and did not bring my slippers with me), we can say these slippers got about 2 and a half months of light wear around a small apartment. My last pair of shearling slippers (no-name brand picked up from a street booth) lasted me about 8 years, so I don't think I'm particularly hard on slippers. The slippers were comfortable while they lasted, but I expected them to last quite a bit longer than just a couple of months!Bearpaw claims to have a 1 year warranty on their products to cover defects. Assuming that perhaps I just got a bad pair, I have attempted to contact them about the slippers, but despite being told I would be contacted back I have yet to hear anything from them. At this point it does not seem like I will be hearing back from them, so their "warranty" is useless and these slippers were a waste of money. I would not buy this brand again.

Nice snug fit
Awesome. Worth every penny. Soles are nice and quiet, excellent, thick padding in the heal and ball of the foot. Better than expected. I read the other reviews and most people said these ran really small. I remembered having a set of LL Bean years ago and they were really tight to start and broke in to a perfect fit after a week or so, so I took a chance and ordered the size I normally wear in sneakers and sure enough, pretty tight to start and broke in perfectly after about a week. I find this to be so much better than ordering them loose and then as they break in, way too big.Fantastic quality all around; would recommend these to others that want a nice, comfortable, good breathing (Wear them in Spring as well and not too warm), well built slipper.

Sizing and quality issues.
I disliked this product enough to return it (I found Amazon makes returns easy). I'm a men's U.S. size 8 ½ and knowing they run small, I had a choice between a 9 even and a 10 even. I went with the 9, It was just barely long enough, but the upper was uncomfortably tight around my ankle. The sheepskin lining felt synthetic-like and thin, with no padding sensation. The insole area felt flat, stiff, and hard as if it were made of plywood, even though it was covered with the aforementioned sheepskin which compressed to the insole. The edge of the upper where it meets the ankle (not a true "tongue" in this style), gripped my ankle enough to make a compression line if I had kept it on my foot any longer than a minute, as the sheepskin didn't extend to this edge like on better quality footwear of this type. With this quality, I don't think a size 10 would have been any more comfortable.

Amazing purchase
Well first let me say that these were $16 and compare in quality and comfort to my UGGS. Real wool and suede for $16 that is crazy. I was going to be away from home for a month or so and wanted some comfortable slippers to wear around the apartment. These are amazing.Reviews said to buy large. I am normally comfortable in a size 12 but I ordered the 13 based on reviews. the 13 fits well and if anything is a little large. I think the 12 would have been fine too and a bit more snug but I actually like my slippers loose so this is great.I have had them for about a week now so we will see if anything changes over the next 30 days or so. If not then I will not be buying UGGS anymore I will be switching to BearPaw.

Great slippers!
Based on other reviews, I ordered up in these slippers (normally need 9 1/2). However, I expected them to fit a bit snug due to the thick lining and they did. Not uncomfortable at all since I went up to the next whole size though. The lining is super thick and warm which means you don't have to wear socks with these awesome slippers. They have thick shoe-like soles which allows them to be worn outdoors to get the paper, check the mail, etc without any issues.Extremely pleased with the purchase of these slippers!

Very Comfortable
I read a lot of the reviews prior to purchasing these slippers, and the biggest concern I had was buying the right size. Some said to buy them a few sizes bigger, some said they bought their normal size and they fit. So, I decided to comprimise and bought 10's when I normally wear a size 9 1/2. When I first put them on I was worried. They were a little tight. HOWEVER, after wearing them for just one day I found that the sheepskin lining eventually conformed perfectly to my foot. If I had gone 2 sizes bigger I would be swimming in these things to the point that they would be unwearable, so don't do that!!! You can get your normal size, or order the next 1/2 size up and you'll be very happy with these. You just have to break them in a little. Sturdy build and super-comfortable to wear.

Comfortable.
I don't like the idea of these being made of unspecified fur from China. I don't rock fur coats but out of the 5 or so pairs of slippers I tried on these were the most comfortable. I use socks when I wear them.Pros: Silent walking on tile. They don't wake up the roommates. They are holding up good and in MI they get plenty of use.Cons: What animals were killed to get the fur? Where were they killed? How was the fur treated? How were the animals treated prior to slaughter? Not made in America.
