I'm not sure this is even legal...
I'm not sure this is even legal for them to sell it in the UK! It came with a US plug and we had to buy a transformer so that we could use it here in the UK (even though we bought it via amazon.co.uk)

Excellent for my small apartment
This is perfect for my small-ish apartment! I was having major issues with the humidity once summer hit, but I didn't want to give up more floor space than I had to. This dehumidifier has a relatively small footprint, but I don't have to empty it every day; when I do have to dump the water, the bucket on the bottom is easy to lift and tip into the sink. I also really like that I can set when it should count as "full" so the bucket doesn't get too heavy. I know some reviews have complained about the noise, but it's really not that loud; I hardly notice it if I have the fan set to "low" and even "high" isn't particularly annoying. I was reluctant to drop this much money on a dehumidifier, but it's so worth it to keep the humidity under control.

Absolute game-changer for staying dry and cozy during humid riverfront winters
Living right by the water means Dealing with a massive amount of moisture, especially during the damp, humid winter months when the dampness just seems to seep indoors. I picked up this Midea Cube 20 Pint unit to tackle the basement humidity, and it has completely transformed the environment, keeping the entire space beautifully dry, fresh, and comfortable. The innovative "cube" design is incredibly smart. When it is running, it extends upwards to hold a surprisingly large amount of water, meaning far fewer trips to empty the bucket. But what really makes this a standout feature for seasonal use is how it nests into itself when empty, compressing down to a fraction of its size for neat, compact storage when it isn't needed. The inclusion of a dedicated drain hose is a massive convenience for continuous operation, allowing you to route the water straight to a drain and forget about manually emptying it entirely. Despite its powerful performance—easily maintaining a crisp, balanced humidity level across a large layout—it operates quietly and efficiently. The Energy Star certification is a huge plus, ensuring it keeps the indoor air perfectly dry without causing a massive spike in the monthly utility bills. If you live near a river, lake, or high-humidity coastal area and dread that heavy, chilly dampness that settles indoors during the winter, this powerful and compact dehumidifier is worth every penny. It delivers outstanding performance, smart storage solutions, and true peace of mind.

Very poorly designed filters
Replacing my Bionaire PureQuiet unit which was sadly discontinued. The Midea does a good job but a little cumbersome removing the top section to empty the large bucket but the large bucket also means less times having to empty it. The noise level was important to me and is actually very acceptable. All in all it's a great unit and well worth the price. An update. I'm well into my first summer with this unit and it's actually much better than I had expected. I've had many dehumidifiers over the years but none would compare to this one. I'd give it an A+ if I could! Another update. The only issue I have are the filters, which are pretty fragile. I broke one portion of the frame trying to install it. Best to be very gentle when handling them. I managed to glue it together and we'll see how long it lasts. A replacement is around C$9 and C$14 shipping. An update. Thse second filter is now broken on the plastic edging, even after being very careful and gentle with it. This is after 18 months of use. So it's probably better to fabricate some kind of filter and mount it on the outside of the casing. I'm not impressed at all. As a de-humidifier it's great. The design not so much.
