We've just moved in, so we measured the walls, read the reviews, and bought these! No regrets . . . Yes, the pegs are crowded together, somewhat. That suits us, for a couple of the places on our walls, and we will be needing some wider-spaced ones for other situations - if you like these and need wider spacing, then searching Amazon for . . . 'GlazieVault Coat Hooks for Wall - Bamboo Wooden Coat Racks (2 Pack)' . . . might help you, since they appear to have similarly sturdy hooks from the same vendor. We fancy using these where there is less space on the wall, eg in our hallway. The hooks are said to be 'stainless', but not (imho) steel - maybe a zinc alloy die-casting like Mazak/Zamak. They were easily fitted to two different walls using the provided wall plugs, screws and caps. Seem solidly attached to both plasterboard and traditional plastered walls in our house. Reviews that mention wall attachment problems have probably encountered a dodgy wall, lots of those about in our long experience. It can help to prepare the hole with an adhesive, PVA and Chloroprene (contact) glues are both good for beefing up crumbly plaster, but be sure to let the glue cure before loading the hooks! A patch of tape on the surface before drilling is always a good preparation, and using a patch of seriously structural tape (eg Gorilla) can help improve the integrity. For us, the fastenings Just Worked, but this is a recent building. The neat matching screw caps are a nice touch. Recommended!

These coat hooks were ordered quickly for a temporary measure, to install by our back door and hang our coats and dog leads whilst we finish renovating the hallway. They have a old style look to them, that really works well with our Victorian Terrace house. I wasn’t expecting them to be as good quality as they are. There’s a couple of negatives, which is why it lost a star. Firstly, whilst the 5 sets of triple hooks is plenty of hanging capacity, but they’re packed so closely together, it is difficult to utilise them all effectively. It would have been good if there were only 4, or they extended the bar by another 10-20cms and evenly spread them along it. Secondly, the caps that cover the screw are a little fiddly to get on, especially if you tighten the screws too much, as the plastic bits the caps clip onto distort when over tightened. Otherwise they appear to be really well made, time will tell how long they last, but on first impressions, I’d certainly buy them again. Although, there is two in the pack, and I’ve only used 1 so far, so I’ve yet to decide where the second will be installed.

Good size, holds up to 10 garments comfortably. Bought Black Steel, Made Well. Easy to fit. Comes with screws etc, fits well on wooden door

Good quality, good price as described

The hooks themselves are good quality and do the job well. The problem is with the screw caps. The plastic washers provided are what the screw covers push onto, but they are so soft they deform easily when installed so the covers will not fit on them and fall off. This leaves bare screw heads visible which are unsightly. A problem that was entirely avoidable if they had spent the 0.02 pence extra on the washers. A needles cost saving disfigures the product.

Great hooks but the screw covers didnt fit at all.
