I was a bit nervous that the key would be a pain. You can lock it without the key. You need the key to unlock it. There is no way to put a strap around it like the typical OEM strap that comes with the original gas cap however. It would be nice if they could do that, but there are probably so many different types of straps, it would be difficult. I bought two - one for a Nissan Sentra and another for a Ford Econoline. Fit perfect in both.

Old cap was throwing an intermittent evap leak code so I decided to go with the locking cap. Works great and it stopped coding.

While the gas cap failed inspection, the company stood behind their product and made it right. Thank you, not common in todays market.Bought gas cap due to code on truck identified gas cap as the failure. Took truck in for inspection today and had to buy new gas cap as this one failed test.

Like this locking gas cap for my car, its going to help me in many ways. 1. security, and 2. evaporating leaks.

Very good price but you do struggle to open it every time you want to pump gas aside from that my check engine light kept going on and I was paying to have it scanned just to be told it was my gas cap so you're not saving money honestly

Seems to work ok, and locks easily. I had trouble unlocking it, where with the key inserted and turned, it clicked as if I was trying to close it. Yes, I was turning it the right way. Eventually, I got it open, but for awhile I was thinking I might have to destroy it to open it, fill my tank and get home.Incidentally, it wouldn't be hard to destroy or force open, based on what I can tell...though I didn't actually have to try. Yet. I'm keeping the old one as a spare in the truck, just in case I do in the future. Caveat emptor.

I rent and only have street parking. I recently got a new to me car that didn't have a way to lock the gas door. I went through 3 locking caps at $25/ piece. They were easily damaged by the delinquents in my neighborhood. This cap can't be tampered with. Well, it can, but it can't be damaged. It was $10!

Llego a tiempo, se ve de muy muy buena calidad, espero que funcione muy bien y que no me active ninguna alerta en el tablero del Jeep JK, apenas lo voy aprobar, por ahora 5 estrella ya más adelante actualizare si es necesario conforme el uso.

As good a fit as the non locking OEM. Lock is a bit flimsy, but it's purpose (at this price) is more as a deterrent rather than preventative measure.
