6-in-1 Washing Machine Cleaner (Cotton Fresh Scent, Pack of 6)

This is always my go-to washing machine cleaner. I’ve been using Vamoosh for around 3 years now, and I genuinely rate it above every other brand I’ve tried.Even if you do not have pets, if multiple people use the same washing machine, chances are you have come across that awful washing machine smell at some point. You know the one: that rotten egg, sulphur-like odour that starts creeping in when hair, dirt, limescale, mould and general grime begin to build up.I first tried Vamoosh in 2023 after getting my cat. She is adorable, but her fur gets everywhere. Even though most of it comes off in the wash, I was very aware that hair and residue must still be building up in the drum, seal, pipes and filter over time. I am also very sensitive to bad smells, so once our machine started needing a proper deep clean, I picked up a sachet of this from Savers and gave it a go.Before this, I had already tried other brands including Dettol, Calgon and Dr Beckmann, but Vamoosh has honestly worked the best for me. I also try to be quite conscious about what I am putting down drains and water lines, both from a health and safety perspective and because I want to be more mindful of the environment, so that was another plus for me.I was sceptical at first because it sounded a bit too good to be true. But after running it through an empty machine on a hot cycle, the difference was obvious. Instead of that nasty stale smell, the machine was left with a light, clean cotton scent. I also checked the rubber seal carefully and used cotton buds to swab a few awkward areas where grime usually hides, and there was barely anything there. I even checked the drain pump filter, where I would normally find hair build-up, and it was impressively clean. For reference, I use a Samsung AddWash washing machine, model WW80K6414QW, with an 8kg load capacity and 1400rpm spin speed. This is how I use it:1. Make sure the washing machine is completely empty.2. Clean the detergent drawer thoroughly first.3. Pour the full sachet into the main wash compartment of the detergent drawer.4. Run the hottest and longest realistic cycle. On my machine, I use the cotton setting with prewash and bubble soak turned on, temperature set to 90°C, 3 rinses, and 1400rpm. That comes to around 2 hours, which works well.5. Let the cycle run as normal.6. Once finished, leave the washing machine door open so the drum can dry out properly and help prevent mould.Final verdict:I will absolutely continue using Vamoosh and recommending it to other people. It has become a staple in my washing machine maintenance routine because it is one of the few products I have used that actually delivers visible and noticeable results without causing any issues to the machine itself. It keeps my washing machine fresh, clean and odour-free, and gives me peace of mind that hair, grime and hidden build-up are being properly dealt with. I have recommended it to pet owners, families, people living in shared households, and even AirBnB hosts, and the feedback has always been positive. For me, it is one of those products that is genuinely worth repurchasing.Versatility: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5It is specifically made for washing machines, so it is not a multi-purpose cleaner, but within that category it is excellent. I have recommended it to people with pets, families, flatmates and short-term rental properties, and it has worked well across all of those situations. That shows it meets a wide range of cleaning and maintenance needs, even if its use is quite specialised.Ease of use: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5Very straightforward to use. The instructions are clear, well-labelled and easy to follow, with very little room for confusion or misuse.Speed: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5The amount of cleaning this manages to do in just one hot cycle is genuinely impressive. For around 2 hours of run time and only one sachet, the results are excellent.Durability: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5By this I mean reliability over time, and Vamoosh has been consistently effective for me over repeated use. I have used it regularly for years and it continues to work just as well, with no damage to seals, pipes or any other part of my machine.Appearance: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5The packaging is clear, pleasant to look at and practical to use. Warning labels are easy to read, the instructions are laid out clearly, and the sachet itself is simple to open and pour without fuss.Value for money: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5Excellent value for money. It can sometimes be a little pricier on Amazon, but it is still worth it for the convenience if you need it quickly. I have also seen it sold in-store for around £2 to £4, which makes it very competitively priced compared with some other leading brands. For such a small cost, the level of cleaning it delivers is fantastic, especially considering how little effort is needed. It is ideal for anyone with a busy lifestyle who wants an easy way to keep their machine clean and fresh.

Highly recommend this product, I was considering buying a new watching machine because of the small black marks and flakes left on my washing after every wash, and the awful smell no matter how many times I cleaned and wiped all the areas that I could reach. After reading the reviews I decided I had nothing to loose. I used it for the first time on a 60° wash and the grime and black mould looking debris that it brought out was astounding (considering the door, drum, seals and detergent drawer were cleaned thoroughly beforehand) *photo included*I didn’t notice a “linen smell” afterwards but the whole thing looks and smells so fresh & clean. It was easy to use and I feel great value! Much cheaper than a new washing machine. I’ll definitely be using regularly to keep the machine clean & fresh

This is my new go to cleaner for my ancient Beko washing machine.I have tried a few of the other cleaners available in supermarkets and on Amazon and found most of them to leave behind undissolved product or need several rinses to clear the drum after they have completed the clean cycle.Vamoosh went into the detergent draw so was able to clean the pipes and pump lines as well as the drum itself. The whole drum spent the entire first cycle full to the brim with active foam and I could see the bits of black sludge and debris it was clearing floating around, so I was confident it was going deep. After the 2 hours were up and I opened the machines door I was instantly hit with a gorgeous scent of fresh dry linen and the drum was sparkling clean, as if it was new.If you have dirty marks appearing on your whites or a smelly machine then I thoroughly recommend this product.

Cannot fault the products cleaning power, machine is now very clean. My only concern is that the chemical is poured into the washing powder drawer, after the cycle had finished, found the cleaner had dissolved the plastic in the corner of the drawer. My only thought is that there was too much chemical in that corner so did not have a chance to fully dissolve when the water went through it. I have contacted the manufacturer but not had a response yet.

I live on a farm and with 2 labradors in the house I'm often presented with clothing covered in all sorts of biological pollutants.I've got the vamoosh set up to arrive every month and when its delivered it reminds me to do another deep clean. So far so good, the washing machine is only 4 months old but it still looks and smells like new and that's the way I'd like to keep it.

Tried a few of these products and for me this stuff is brilliant. It got rid of the smells as well as giving it a visible clean machine.

Great product BUT.....I bought this because my son is a mechanic and I worried that all the grease and dirt on his work clothes would shorten the life of my washing machine.Cleaned out the drum really wellMy only gripe is that, in order for the hair dissolving to happen, you have to use a 90 degree wash! Now, I have a new washing machine and it doesn't DO a 90 degree washing for the sake of energy efficiency! So no hair dissolving! It's not a deal breaker, but it would be nice given I've got 2 cats and a grandpuppy!A re-formulation might be an idea given the limitations of modern washing machines?

This is so much better than anything I have tried even better than a big name brand. It makes the funky smell go away and is now a part of my regular preventive routine.

Ok product .. really expensive on amazon, but looks like they do not ship from UKWould not buy again based on price

I never really cleaned my washing machine that often as I've never had issues with it getting smelly and when I did give it a good clean, there wasn't much to clean off. I now have two dogs, so there has been an increase of dog hair in my machine from washing their blankets. I now use this monthly to clean my washing machine and it's good to know it dissolves hair – I notice the drum is clear of any dog hair after using this product. It does have a slight fragrance, but nothing overpowering or chemical smelling. Highly recommend!

Great product if you follow the instructions.
