Look no Further.
I have never owned a vacuum sealer before but when a neighbor offered some bluefin tuna, I accepted and chose this Nesco to portion it out. Simple to use and does a great job for my needs. Double sealing. Uses most bags. Cutter included. Hose attachment for using cannisters included and stowed under the cover. Good size that seems compact and is easily stowed in a cabinet when unused. I found it is actually smaller than their less expensive VS-02 model. A plus for me as space is at a premium. Of note, as prior reviewers commented there wasn't a drip tray. Now there is indeed a removeable drip tray. That it came with 2 sizes of bag was good as suited my initial use well.

Good and easy to use
It may take a few more second to seal but it functions well. Not too heavy and easy to store in the cabinets cause I have a small kitchen. So far, I don’t have anymore problem with the freeze burn.

Sucks so good
I had a food saver sealer that finally died after years of use. After a ton of research I finally decided to pull the trigger on this. On first inspection, this was bulkier than I expected. Operation was easy enough to use without turning to the instructions. Light indicators were bright and easy to follow. This sealer does double sealing lines. That is a major plus if you sous vide a lot. Tested with a pound of fresh coffee beans. Sucked all the air out and pack was tight. Bag was fully conformed to the shape of the beans with a tight seal. I tried the second try with Costco bags. Great seal again. Now for the marinade test. It does pull a bit of liquid but does the job well. The time it takes to seal seems a bit longer but glad to wait a few extra seconds to have a seal that does not leak when cooking.

Small, easy to use, quiet(er)
This replaced another brand that malfunctioned after years of use. This is smaller, and quieter. Very easy to use - placing the bag for sealing straight forward. When creating custom sized bags, it is very easy to do, and you don't have to wait for the machine to be ready to seal the next bag. If there is a pause required, it is shorter than I can get a new one in place. I've gone through one roll already and several bags, no issues, and very happy with how it works.

Get’s the job done.
Well, it works. It works better than the 30 year-old Tilla that somebody permanently borrowed. What it seems to do better (based upon limited empirical evidence) is reuse a bag. The Tilla seemed overly fond of its own brand of bags. The Nesco has succeeded with the included bags plus Food Saver brand bags. I give credit to the positive latching mechanism; it is much more effective than the Tilla, and may be the key factor in the improved performance. After forty years, I am back to batching it. I buy in what to me is bulk, and bag up one chop, one breast, a couple of patties, half the package of bacon. I’ve also repackaged a large bag of frozen vegetables. That’s the extent of my experience with it so far. No fresh fruit, no marinades. I can say that it will want to draw any liquid, so pat the meat dry first. Wipe up any moisture and fat that has coated the neck of the bag when you put the item inside. Assume that it drew liquid, and wipe out the channel when you are done. I didn’t see anything, so I didn’t wipe. It was tough to clean it up after it dried. Lesson learned. Two negatives: one that I can fix, one that I can’t. The design of the unit places too large of a distance between the heating/sealing element and the vacuum channel. This wastes a good 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch of bag material every time you vacuum. This I’ll have to live with. The second thing is the power cord. It is petrified: hard and inflexible. It doesn’t want to unwind off of or back on to the spool in the back of the unit. This I can deal with.I’ve seen other reviews that complained about noise levels. It’s no different than my old Tilla. It’s a vacuum pump; they make noise. I can easily hear and talk over it. No complaint here.God communication from the seller. Shipped as advertised. Solid transaction.

Good vacuum sealer
I bought this to replace one, from a major brand, that was performing poorly. I am pretty pleased with this one. Here are the pros & cons;Pro;It's easy to use.It does a good job on anything I have sealed with it, even chicken, with is very moist. It is not unduly noisy. All vacuum sealers will make some noise, but this one isn't excessive. (My last one was so loud I think it registered on the Richter Scale. ) It is also easy to clean.Con;It doesn't have an on/off switch, so it's powered on any time it's plugged in.. That seems rather wasteful, so I added an in-line on/off switch-see pics. BTW, you can get one on Amazon. You can add an external hose, to use with vacuum-seal zip bags. But you can't find it on anyone's website. I contacted the company & was told that the hose & replacement gaskets can be ordered from the company, but only over the phone. Seems silly in this day & age. The amount they charge for the hose is only about $9.00 So I would have been just as happy for them to charge a couple of bucks more & just include it.Having said all of this, I am pleased with the product.
