Good value. Perfect match for my fittings
Needed to tie an air hose into my copper pipe air system. Just the fitting I needed. Sweat fitting for the 1/2 inch copper pipe, union so I don't have to try twisting the pipe or hose and 1/2 in female threaded end for the hose fitting. Fully open flow. I believe it works better than a 1/2 inch quick coupler. For me the less restriction the better. Only issue was getting a third fitting - only two were available. Get them when you can.

Very well made
These are so much better than the junk you buy at the big box stores, which I always have trouble getting the 2 halves to seal. These use a tapered fit much like a flare fitting. Solder it up, tighten it down and no leaks.

Threads stripped off, they are too shallow.
Beautiful fitting, installed at inlet to tankless water heater. But, this is an extremely light-cast part, there is not much metal there, and the fine, shallow threads on the male portion of the flare popped loose when it was tightend down. Furthermore, the fitting was leaking at the flare contact point, which is, in my opinion, far too narrow of a contact area to provide a reliable seal. I installed two, one failed immediately. Now I'm pondering whether to uninstall the other one proactively. It's well past the return window, but the trouble of replacement is the real expense.

Leaks due to tiny flared surface.
Looked promising but they leak like a sieve because the flared portion is so small that there's hardly any contact area. I made sure they were dead on straight and no burrs or defects and they still drip. Get a different brand. In the picture the one on the left is this one and the one on the right is another brand and you can see the contact area is much larger.
