Are there plastic parts surrounding the burr?

The upper (removable) burr is held in a larger plastic part. The plastic part is what actually attaches to the rest of the machine. Twist 1/8 turn and feel small "click." This part can be removed for cleaning, which seems rather unnecessary. The rotating part is fixed in the machine and cannot be removed.

Seller: full "extra fine" grind setting is closer to what i'd call "medium." much too coarse for me. is there some additional internal adjustment?

There may be too much coffee powder or coffee beans stuck in the Upper Blade Components.Please turn counterclockwise to remove "Upper Blade Components".Take it out and use a brush to clean it.Then adjust the grinding lever to the coarsest setting, and clean it again after grinding once.Finally adjust to your preferred setting, and start grinding.
