Excellent!
This thing works great. DO NOT turn on VOX. Works best if antennas are separated several feet.

Waste of time
Locks both radios in transmit mode until I unplug both radios. Tried moving them apart, different antennas, making sure VOX was off, and different radios all with the same result. Now I have to deal with sending it back. Waste of time and money. Also has broken English and errors on the label.

Make sure you understand what you're buying
This item works perfectly, if you understand what you're buying. This is a 2 way, cross band repeater. If you use this item in radios like a Baofeng, you can't use it as a VHF repeater with a 0.600 mhz offset. Baofeng radios will interfere each other and make a loop beacuse they're Baofeng, low quality radios. This box works as intended. The way to use it is to make a cross band repeater VHF <--> UHF, and it will transmit both ways. Use case scenario: If you live in a place where you don't receive good VHF coverage from long distance. You have one radio listening to the VHF, the other radio in UHF and you can roam around with a radio tuned to the UHF frequency. That way any communication that arrives in the VHF band, you'll be able to answer it in the UHF radio.

It works just fine.
I was getting a little interference between the two radios, without doing anything other than plugging the radios in the repeater box. My receive radio would blink red on occasion and cause the backlights to come on both receiver and transmitter. I found two cures that worked for me. 1. Separate the radios farther apart. 2. Use a longer antenna on the transmitter and by doing this I could keep the radios nearly touching each other without any interference. There were no instructions that came with this product. Don't forget you will need two more additional radios to fully test or wait for the repeater signal to be heard on the radio you are talking in. Note: No Vox settings are required using this setup. Overall, a good product.

Didn't fit on all of my radios.
This K-Head Repeater Box, RPT-2K causes crossbanding and repeater radio stay locked on transmit. It is because one of the plug pole ends is too long. One side fit in the all of my radios but the other side sticks out because the larger pole is too long. I can see it not fully seated in the radios.

Works perfectly.
Others may report a squelch loop? If you stop and think how the repeater controller is actually working, the easy solution is turn OFF the Roger Beep on the RECEIVE radio, keep it ON the Transmit radio. To further add reliability, keep the radios apart as much as possible, and use external Antennas. If you can get the Antennas about 20 feet or so apart, performance is greatly enhanced. As in any repeater, grounding and bonding is critical to performance as well. Enjoy your repeater :)

Works good if your radios work right
Important things to know: 1. Make sure VOX is totally off on both radios. 2. Set volume to max on both radios. 3. Turn on the roger beep for the Tx radio.
