Working fine!
Good speed, ok. My old hard drive failed on bad power supply, realised it later. don't know how durable new one is but till now it's working fine even with heavy load.

Packaging Review
I've noticed some people complaining about the packaging, so let me set the record straight. This is an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) drive, which means it comes in a cardboard box with some padding—either styrofoam or bubble wrap—and inside a sealed anti-static bag. This is standard practice for WD and Seagate to keep costs down and reduce waste since these drives are usually intended for system builders or tech pros who don't need fancy retail packaging. When you get your HDD, make sure to check the padding inside the box. There shouldn’t be any wiggle room—if that drive’s snug and tight, you’re probably good to go. And don't forget to check that the plastic bag is actually sealed and anti-static, because that’s what’s gonna keep your drive from getting fried.

My Experience with WD – Never Again
I bought this hard drive back in December 2023.At the start of 2025, it began showing issues, and by mid-2025 it became unbearable to use. Since WD claims a 2-year limited warranty, I decided to finally return it.Here’s where the nightmare started:• Warranty Confusion: At first, the website showed my warranty had expired in June 2025, which made no sense. Only after I wrote an email did they correct their “mistake” and show the proper coverage.• Messy Return Process: They use technical jargon like RMA that an average customer shouldn’t have to struggle with. I even had to ask their chat agent to create one for me.• Customer Burden: Shockingly, I was told I had to ship the faulty product back on my own. Why should I spend time and money returning a defective drive?• Agent Attitude: The tone of the support agent felt dismissive, almost like: “at least we’re replacing it.” That’s not customer service—that’s arrogance. When they finally received the drive, the replacement was sent quickly, which I appreciate. But:• It looks refurbished, not brand new.• I have already noticed strange noises coming from it, so I’m unsure if it will last long.• The support ticket is still not closed on their website, which adds to the frustration. And this is not my first bad experience. I already lost data with their SanDisk drives (they’re even facing lawsuits for those faults), and WD still didn’t take accountability. When I asked for a refund, they refused. So here’s my honest conclusion:⚠️ I will never recommend WD or SanDisk to anyone. If you value your data and sanity, stay away from this brand.

Good for additional storage
Good one for additional storage. If you are planning to install Window OS, I suggest to buy NVMe or SSD.

Good Product, Need to improve Packaging box
Product is working fine, I just surprised of packaging quality. As there was no outer monocarton or Box for product description or branding it was just a box for transit.

best buy for 4650INR
easy to install , good reading and writing speed, and 7200 rpm is perfectly good with gaming too. and piece of advice for those who are purchasing this for their secondary hard drive or like those who are expanding their storage that this hard drive does not come with power cable to connect to psu or sata cable to connect to your mobo... so purchase it that too. luckily I had extra cables came with my psu so I only had to purchase the extra sata cable. I don't know if this is a common knowledge for every one but for a noob like it was a surprise so I had to order it separately after getting the hard drive ... so if there is some one like me who dont have knowledge of this kind of stuff and they are also new to this than just putting this out for those.
