Levi and Enne are in another game in a fight for their lives and are struggling to find alliances and enemies. They don’t know who trust or even if they can trust themselves or each other. Everything and everyone seems on shaky ground at the beginning of this bookI was so blown away by this series, and how the characters grew and changed so much in just three books. It’s a series that would be hard to forget. There are a lot of complexities. I especially enjoyed Harvey in this book and his struggle to decide where he fit in, and if he could or should be loved.“‘I can’t fix myself!’ Harvey shouted. ‘That’s the whole point! I’m never going to be healthy- I don’t even know if it’s possible for me to be better. So if I’m broken, fine. Then call me shattered. Call me beyond repair. But don’t pretend like I have the power to fix myself. Because I… I’m sick. And that isn’t how being sick works!’”But truthfully all of the characters go through so much in this series and Amanda Foody’s writing is addictive and easily captures me. I definitely recommend this series and I give this one 4.5 stars.

100% worth the read! I wish more people knew about this series

The game has begun. Who will be left standing in the end? Enne was a lost socialite and a crime lord. Levi was a privileged grandson of elites turned crime lord. They both were playing against the odds. Though they both betrayed each other in irreparable ways, they were drawn to one another. Neither could escape their intertwining past, present or future. Can they survive a game they never chose to participate in? Can anyone? Stack the cards!

A gift for my 14 year old daughter who has thoroughly enjoyed this great series. Exciting and thrilling.

I liked the series quite a lot especialy the first books, it has captivating atmosphere, charming characters and action packed story. I very much liked the language of the story, the diversity of the rythm in story telling. It is hands down one of the top leaque of phantasy series. It is unfortunately one of the sereis where the writer struggles to keep the identity and coherence of the series toward it's end. In this case it is rather minor problem, the writer more then makes it up in the originality of the world, multitude of remarkable scenes and hidden messages. All in all a very good read.
