I like these. But sometimes they sour and sometimes they are sweet...

There is very little sugar/salt coating on this candy. Additionally, it is very chewy, not soft at all, it may be old or not stored properly. I reported this to Amazon and they told me to contact the seller. I contacted the seller and they said call them. I called them and the 1st rep said she can see the coating on the candy. I said yes there is very little and nothing like the advertised picture. She just kept saying the candy was fine so I asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor said the same thing, "I see the coating, but it's not like the picture and we can't take it back because it's already open." Mind you I never asked to return the food item. I told the supervisor that even if I returned the item (unopened) would they really take a bad product and sell it to someone else?!?! She then back tracked and wouldn't answer the question. Regardless, I told her, you guys just need to take an L on this one. Good customer service would have been to just send me a replacement or issue me a refund. Instead, both the rep and the supervisor already had a script about we cannot take back an open package. Again, I didn't want to return the package, I understand how that would be a health concern, but what this company should follow the law and not resell returned unopened food due to the potential for food tampering.

Very hard. A tough chew. Probably stale!The powdered sour coating is tasty, but once gone, the licorice is very mild. Gave me a jaw ache.
