6-year-old loves them!
I got this Optimus Prime/Megatron set for my son's 6th birthday and he absolutely loves them! He had a little trouble transforming them at first, but they're not super difficult for younger kids, as there are only five or six steps. They're all plastic, so durability is a concern. These look awesome as robots, so-so as vehicles. That's opposite of the original toys I grew up with, where the vehicles were cool, but sometimes the robots sucked. I had Megatron as a kid, which transformed into a handgun, but the robot was awful and looked nothing like the cartoon. In this set, Megatron turns into a kind of weird looking tank, and Optimus Prime's tummy drags and prevents his front wheels from rolling. Megatron has his cannon, but Optimus has no weapons. So they're not perfect, but my review is based on how much my kid likes them, which is a lot.

Cheap and disappointing.
Cheap and disappointing. Not made like the old school toys. Megatron turns into some kind of tank? What is that about? Optimus doesn't roll at all really. Never ready to roll out. Megatron turns into a tank thingy but doesn't roll either...very meh.
