This is great for the price. It has 2 powerful blue lights which attract the pests towards it. It includes a chain for wall hanging, or can stand freely which mine does. There is a pest collection tray which slides on at the bottom of the device and is easy to slide in and out. However the tray does not fix to the device, it just sits loosely at the bottom so it could move if the device is not kept still. It does make quite a loud noise when it kills a pest, but I don’t mind that. Overall, I’m really pleased with it and it does the required job to perfection. Would definitely recommend.

We live in the middle of a livestock farm and have a bad fly problem, especially in the spring/summer. Since this unit arrived (bulbs intact, despite being delayed and swapping vans) it's been happily zapping flies and small insects on the top of our kitchen units. We also have ladybirds and a satisfying range of moths but the gadget doesn't seem to attract the LDBs and we turn it off at night, so all well there.As others say, the device is noisy; the first time it went off, within seconds of being switched on, both the humans jumped about a foot in the air and the dog vanished. But, after only 2 days, we've got used to it to the extent that we like to hear the device at work - and it's working hard! The dog has stopped caring, although I turn the lamp off when it's dog meal times.It's brilliant at small-to-medium flies and insects, we empty the tray every day. Whilst the unit often ejects smaller cadavers when they explode, bigger flies - meaty bluebottle size - sometimes survive the first shock and, after a few minutes comatose, start a drunken wandering about; however they nearly always try to launch again and get zapped a second time - then it's curtains.Verdict: very, very, happy with the device. If you have a constant big fly problem I'd suggest a more powerful unit but this one is really good. 5 stars.

Postman knew what was being delivered as outside box was partly opened, (delievered to Ireland), but box of fly zapper fine and works well. Took seconds to put chain on and plug in. Killed a lot of flies already, Zap is loud, dog stops but does not freak out like a previous dog that didn't like the sound, so delighted. Have some plant on kitchen window and hopefully it will keep the amount of flies down as we live in country area and doors and windows open.

This indoor fly catcher is so convenient I’ve been wanting to purchase this for a few weeks now and I’m finally glad that I have especially with summer coming around it works like a charm and it doesn’t take up too much space. It’s very reactive and looks expensive. It’s very durable. I hope the lifespan of the bulb lasts more than a year. I feel like leaving it on for the rest of your year.

This fly killer worked well for 3 months, on overnight in a normal kitchen to kill fruit flys that made a home in one of our plants. Unfortunately one bulb stopped working after 3 months and the other bulb stopped a week after that. Personally I thought they should last longer than that. Replacement bulbs £14 for 2 which isn’t bad and easy to replace but for a few extra quid you can buy the whole unit again. Positives are it does kill flys and other flying things, is easy to remove dead flys and is quite powerful as I accidentally touched it and it gave me quite a shock lol.

Bought this after buying and returning 2 other makes (which were useless). This works perfectly and attracts and kills flying insects efficiently.

This worked brilliantly within 5 minutes of installing. The loud zap is so satisfying. Only one down side is the length of the power lead which needs to be at least a metre longer to reach the socket outlet without the need for an extension.
