They work
These strips do work to give an approximation of nitric oxide levels. Serum NO is what you want to know (NO in the blood) but this is an expensive test. Saliva NO is found to be a good approximation though. I found it best to test once or twice a week before breakfast. This gives a good baseline without interactions from foods. I do find my levels jump if I test after taking beet juice or beet powder. So it does react to nitrates in your mouth. Its best to test without food so you don't get a false reading. These strips will give you a general idea on your NO levels but its not an exact science. At least you can see if you are really low and if you are making progress over time.
