The best!
This Roman style fish sauce is very different from Asian fish sauces. Itโs saltier and not as fishy. Very rich in umami. Great in dressings or dashed over grilled veggies!

Delicious. Actually surprised. I ended up putting it on everything. It's not as fishy as you would expect from a fish sauce. The only downside is the bottle is way too small so it ends up being very expensive.

Try a little, youโll like it a lot.
โWhatโs garum?โ you say? Well, after you look it up and decide to try it, you will understand. Itโs a stellar ingredient that will add punch to your recipe, and an ancient flavoring that will amaze your guests. No, it doesnโt taste like fish.

Decent product
Not bad, mild flavor, not very pungent. I was disappointed I did not get the glad bottle depicted in the ad, just a normal looking glad bottle.

A little goes a long way!
Go Ancient Roman on your food... don't be afraid! You can tell it has fish but it does not bowl you over. More subtle than anchovy paste and not as salty as some soy sauces. I've put it on white bean salad (beans, onions, olive oil) and on fish (a simple piece of tuna). I've tried in in my lamb stew (simple, nothing fancy) and on a piece of grilled steak. It was great on wilted spinach. Overall I am very pleased with it. I have compared it to soy sauce (not as strong as a flavor, about the same umami level), and Worchestershire sauce (on the steak the garum was better but I don't have Lea and Perrins). Overall I am very pleased with this sauce and am glad I bought it. The bottle will last a very long time so I have plenty of experimenting to do!

Deceptive Image
DECEPTIVE IMAGE. You will not receive a bottle that looks like a little amphora. The garum itself is fine, but if you're going to buy this listing over another one because of the bottle design that's advertised, DON'T.

Nice find
Really good umami flavor. Not really fishy. And low salt.

Really cool center piece
Has a really good story behind it and looks really cool. Iโm mostly using it for decoration but it gets a lot of attention
