Great price, great product.
Hello, my name is mmmmmm, and I am a clapper convert! This clapper makes seams beautifully flat, and this one is sooooooo much cheaper than other clappers. There is zero difference, it’s wood. Technically you could use a cut of a 2x4 and it would work. This fits wonderfully in either hand. Buy it!

HANDY TOOL FOR THE SEWING ROOM
This tailor's clapper comes in very handy in the sewing room. Its primary function is for use during pressing and it works great for this. I also have done an off-label use, using it inside a sock I was darning. It's made well and is smooth with no snagging on fabric.

Really does make a difference!
I have seen the tailor's clapper used in many instructional videos and shows, but was not convinced it was something I needed. Don't get me wrong, I love gadgets, but this is just a hunk of wood. Not bleeding edge tecnology. But it works so well and absolutely no learning curve. Great bang for the buck and highly recommended to anyone who owns an iron!

Quilt Clapper
I was pleasantly impressed moth my tailor clapper. It is heavier than the one I have from a quilt shop. This new one is slightly bigger too & the price is a lot better too

flat seams
What a differance in my seams on my quilt! My material is not distorted now. My seams are so much flatter now. I highly recommend this clapper.

Varnished surface a nono
Had to sand off varnish before I could use. The wood is supposed to be able to absorb the steam allowing the material to have a nice flat unpuckered result. Varnishing it ruins the unit. The maker should know this.

Won’t press without it ever again
Making crisp creases became a pressing issue in the sewing lab so I finally decided to try out a tailors clapper. It makes a huge difference in the quality of the outcome. You might not like the idea of spending the money on a block of wood but I sure wasn’t about to make one myself. I’m glad I got it
