These are different than the traditional stroopwafel, but they are so good. They have more of a shortbread flavor, with just a hint of tartness from the lemon. They don't taste super lemony, but I can see how some people might not like the flavor. To me, they are even better than the caramel or standard stroopwafels, and they are lower in calories/fat. This is the flavor I choose every time now, and my husband gets all the others. I put them on subscription and now they aren't available, only a month after discovering them, so I really hope they aren't being discontinued because of the negative reviews. :( If you like the flavor of shortbread and a hint of lemon, you will probably like these. I LOVE them.

There is a hint of lemon. There is a big sweet flavor but not the inflammation of sugar. It is quite sweet. It is not crunchy since it is soaking in the sweetness. That is about the only negative. Buy it.

I really like the Dutch Carmel and vanilla flavor. I tried lemon because they were on sale. The inside melted out on a lot of them making them messy and sticky. The flavor is also very artificial tasting.

These don't taste good and they arrived crumbly even though the box was in ok condition. They don't seem very fresh.

I thought these were very good. I will be buying them again and making them a regular in household snacks. Fun name, the wafel tasted good and then the lemon was a light fresh and zesty flavor to end the bites with.

These are tasty, with a real lemon flavor. Love the 3 grams only of sugar. I love all Rip Van wafels!

Definitely sweeter than all the others. I must say this particular one is my least favorite. I kept looking for some type of lemon taste throughout the entire Wafel. All I could taste was a sweet cookie with no particular taste.
