Good choice for a complete B-Complex supplement (includes 400 mcg folic acid) (and note wide price fluctuations here)
Updated 8/19/16: I've ordered these vitamins 7 times on Amazon, from 11/13 to the present time. During that period, the price that I have personally paid has varied between 9.99 and 14.99, a very wide range, when purchased either from Amazon itself or from one of the third party sellers who have fulfillment by Amazon and offer prime shipping. The historical price variation going back to 2011 shows a low of about 8.50 from Amazon and brief periods of lower prices from third party sellers. This is a product where it may be beneficial to watch the pricing on Amazon and order when the price happens to dip down, as it does regularly. My most recent order came at a time when I was needing to replenish my supply and could not wait to watch the prices until they came down, but it's now something that I'll be paying closer attention to when I get close to needing to resupply again. My original review text follows, unchanged. I take a selection of vitamins and supplements daily. In deciding to incorporate these into my daily routine, and in order to determine as best I can what the proper supplements and dosages are that I should take, I've decided that a good B complex supplement is important to include. The guidance I'm relying on, from Eating Well for Optimum Health: The Essential Guide to Food, Diet, and Nutrition among other resources, is that I should include a B complex supplement that includes, among other things, at least 400 mcg folic acid (one of the unnumbered B-vitamins). After reviewing the various choices available here on Amazon and elsewhere, I decided to select this Nature's Way product. The detailed ingredients can be viewed on this Amazon product page, so I will only highlight a few key points regarding ingredients: Thiamin -- 100 mg Riboflavin -- 100 mg Niacin -- 100 mg Vitamin B6 -- 100 mg Folic Acid -- 400 mcg Vitamin B12 -- 100 mcg Biotin -- 100 mcg The container does not say anything regarding soy or gluten content, however the only other ingredients listed are gelatin (capsule), cellulose, and magnesium stearate. It also does not specify whether or not these supplements are manufactured in the U.S. The Nature's Way website also does not provide any information on these points ([...] but it does give the ability to contact them with questions. I sent an e-mail to Natures Way asking about these points, and was informed the following: - these capsules do contain soy, as well as yeast, corn, dairy products (unspecified). - they are gluten free - they are manufactured in the U.S. (Green Bay, WI) - Nature's Way has their own quality program to ensure the quality of the ingredients used in their products. They sent me a copy of their Quality Standards letter, which describes the many tests used in their facilities to monitor quality. They also mentioned the following which I think are notable (most of the following text is taken from their letter): --- The facility in which Enzymatic Therapy®, Nature's Way®, and Integrative Therapeutics(tm) brands are manufactured has Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Certification. GMP Certification confirms that a facility is in compliance with the dietary supplement GMP standards. Certification is awarded by NSF International, an independent, not-for-profit organization that supports regulatory standards through onsite audits and inspections. After achieving certification, SNA is then audited every nine months in order to confirm compliance. --- they perform Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) audits of their suppliers --- the Green Bay facility is also registered as an FDA Drug Establishment and has received GMP certification by the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) --- they are the first US supplement company to receive the prestigious MHRA GMP certification. The MHRA is the United Kingdom's government agency responsible for ensuring that medicines, herbal medicines, homeopathic remedies and medical devices work, and are acceptably safe. Drug GMP certification by MHRA is required for facilities that produce human medicinal products for the European Union (EU). After a rigorous inspection process, MHRA issues a "certificate," confirming the facility's compliance to the human medicinal GMP standard. --- they are certified as an Organic Processor by Quality Assurance International (QAI). QAI confirms annually that our manufacturing processes and facilities are compliant with the National Organic Program (NOP) rules for the production of organically certified products

Sometimes can work better than individual B-vitamins
This is biochemistry, so listen up! Because I came into the world with more gene mutations than you can shake a stick at I have a hard time balancing all the inflammation in my body aka histamine. One of adrenaline's jobs is to keep histamine in balance but since I'm unable to make enough of it I have a lot of symptoms since adrenaline not only balances histamine. It also fuels the nerves that move our muscles, affects blood pressure, kills pain, kills hunger, burns fat... and more. This B-Complex comes into the picture to help clear so much histamine. Niacin is too hard on the body and Niacinamide alone can't do the job, nor can drugs aimed at histamine like diphenhydramine (Benadryl) although in a pinch it can help. If you have to resort to it start w/a small amount of the children's liquid. Therapeutic doses are much higher than what's recommended on labels and I'm currently decreasing my dose of 15 daily B-Complex that was needed to balance tremendous inflammation resulting from insect bites. (Among other chemicals insects are attracted to histamine which is why some folks are bitten by mosquitoes when other are not.) Of course it's a huge help if you have a competent health care professional orchestrating your treatment needs & doses. You will find them in Orthomolecular Medicine and it's best to be referred by someone who has been treated successfully by a practitioner.

Calm your nerves naturally.
I was feeling very stressed out and my counselor recommended some natural supplements since I am pregnant. One of the supplements in my new regime is the B-Complex. I have to say I don't nearly as crabby as I was before, I sleep better and I am just all around more even tempered now. You need to drink a ton of water on this supplement though otherwise your pee becomes very dark (sorry, I know that's TMI but my doctor said you have to increase your water intake when taking B-Complex).

Good value..good Product..
Great product....the packaging has changed since I last purchased it, but looks fine. It is the same product with all the same values/amounts. I do like this product as it does not 'repeat' as some B complex vitamins tend to do. Also, I do not ever get any nausea which can sometimes be a side affect of this vitamin. I have been using it for quite a while now and will continue to do so.
