In a plethora of pillows this one is a keeper. I have been a life long stomach sleeper - but then I began to hear that as you age - it does not do your face any favors to smoosh it into your pillow. I tried "back sleeping" but in the morning I would always wake up on my side with my face smooshed. When I started the hunt for the "perfect" pillow to help me stay on my back - I discovered there there is quite an assortment. I am a researcher type person - so I can't just choose the first one listed. I narrowed it down to this one - but quite honestly was cynical if it would do what it promised. The pillow has an "interesting" shape. It came with a beautiful silk pillowcase packaged separately which I appreciated because that is important to anti-aging of your face as well as being kind to your hair. It has memory foam and cooling chambers which any person would appreciate, especially us older ladies!! On the first night testing it out, despite the "unique" shape, which is very different from anything I've ever slept on, it definitely passed. It was very comfortable and the silk pillow case gives it a luxurious feel. To look at it - I thought it might feel like my head was trapped between the sides but you don't even notice them when you are laying on the pillow. The soft cushoning just felt like sleeping on a really comfortable pillow. I think in addition to all these other positive properties - I was most impressed that I could turn my head slightly to the side if I wanted - and the pillow is designed to cradle your head. So, when I woke up - there was no "smooshing" of my face into the pillow. Mission accomplished!! I am very impressed with all this pillow has to offer - that it does what it promises and and I'm able to remain on my back all night. Pillows are kind of personal to each of us - but I would recommend giving this neck contour pillow a shot.

This pillow was just right to deal with sleeping on my back. It gently cradles the neck and head, is soft and comfortable and just the right height.

The neck was not narrow enough to keep her head in position, and the shoulder part of the pillow not flat enough to fit under her shoulders. She didn't ger the support she was looking for to stop her head from falling to the left. It just wasn't a good fit for her.

I’m surprised that I really like this pillow. It’s firm and offers good support for my head and neck. I have a small head, and I do find that I often turn onto my side in my sleep even with this pillow. However the shape of it seems to prevent the face smush that I was getting before, which was starting to leave deep creases near my eye every morning. I do agree the pillow case quality is lacking. When this one goes, I may try to deconstruct it and sew a new one myself.

This is my new favorite pillow! Unfortunately, I still end up sleeping on my stomach. I guess it’s great for stomach sleepers too. …still trying to find something that helps me sleep on my back! - Susan

Comfort, quality, neck support disappointing.

I really thought the way this pillow was constructed would solve my problem of sleeping on my back and keeping my head from turning too far to the side, thus preventing getting a true pain in the neck. But the pillow was very uncomfortable, and the area where your head lies is too wide to keep my head from flopping to the side. It is not as hard as some neck support pillows I have tried, but the area that is supposed to be for neck support is too high for my neck, so my head is pushed forward. I barely slept at all while trying out this pillow. It is going into the give-away box. I have tried many pillows to help with my neck pain, so I was not surprised that this one did not help me either. But if you have a normal neck, this pillow will probably be OK for you.

Great comfy pillow post cornea transplant surgery. Helped keep moms head in place while giving her some added cushion. She was supposed to lay flat for a long time so this pillow was great and it's not super thick so you can still be flat enough. Keeps it shape and a great size. Durable.

Maravilla

I’ve only slept on it once so it may be a bit coincidental but I had a much better sleep. It’s a perfect firmness, not too soft or hard. The little side lumps I expected to be a bit higher but they are just enough to keep you from a full “side sleep” and are nice to rest your head against. I got the satin cover and it’s nice and soft. Otherwise it comes with a bamboo / polyester cover which is pretty basic but also a cooling material. Overall I am a big fan so far!

Excellent - I am a side sleeper b it needed to sleep on my back for 2 weeks after face surgery. This was comfortable with the silk pillow case. I also used a wedge underneath it rather than regular pillows which kept this pillow from moving. I also put a regular pillow beside me as an extra precaution to keep from turning my body while sleeping. It has been a week so far and I have been able to stay on my back with my face up. I recommend using this with a bed wedge (on top of mattress), super easy

Really nice quality. Think it will take a bit of getting used to but it’s very comfortable and really good quality

Great product and this is the second time I bought it but the additional case is not satin but polyester. I received the satin one with the previous pillow I ordered.
