Cheap and works perfectly
Cheap, easy to install, and works perfectly. Initially I had issues with the PMW control however this was my own fault as although I thought I plugged a fan into port one, I hadn't. Move a fan to port one and it worked perfectly. Feels a bit flimsy but it's not like I'm going to be handling it on a daily basis. It's a plug in and forget situation.

Typical fan hub.
You can replace this thing with models from most any vendor. My use case makes the enclosure desirable, and this model wasn't much of any more expensive, even compared to many of the dubious Chinese vendors selling fully exposed PCB. For mounting you're given two options, double-sided adhesive, OR magnetic. The magnets are not especially strong, but don't need to be particularly powerful. Either way you can conceivably mount this in any case of any variety, somehow. I even have one of mine slapped onto the side of the PSU. Not much else to say. Simple device, and while there is a lot of competition on the market, these remain competitive in price. You could stand to save a few bucks on other products with exposed PCB, but unless you are buying exclusive to your exact model of case with precise mounting standoffs I would be dubious of so many exposed contacts. Price is always the arbiter, but I am not sure how much more expensive something like this would need to be compared to cheaper raw exposed PCB products. In my case the difference was about 2 dollars. I figure most fan hubs lacking housings are at least shielded on the rear, but I needed both sides enclosed. There was no way I could make up the difference without spending more - and certainly wouldn't care enough to figure out how true it is at a difference of ~2$. Even comparing 6$ difference to brands I wouldn't trust in a server if you paid me it is a trivial distinction. If you're buying bulk, get special order exclusive to your screw mount options.
