GOOD BOOK FOR SELF STUDY TO SKIM TOPICS BUT PROBABLY NOT GOOD FOR COLLEGE CLASS. SOME FAMILIARITY WITH MATH (DISCREET) ADVISED
Seems to be a collection of topics in modern mathematical areas (eg. vectors, matrices). Seems fairly readable, with the caveat that a background in discreet math would be good to know first. Discreet is a very important subject as it prepares one for the beginning of many classes, thus for all the modern topics (ie. after calculus) I would recommend that as an absolute must have class: it is the gateway to higher mathematics covering a lot of necessary topics. I have only skimmed or partially read the book thus this is not an end all review, but more a statement that the book did arrive on time and in reasonable shape. Am not sure what class I would recommend this for as it seems to be a oldie but goodie that is not totally in tune with the way the subject is taught today as many of the items in book are whole classes themselves (eg. linear algebra). I would say it is a good book for extra study, brushing up on certain aspects, or for reading on ones own, but for a class I doubt it would have more than 3 star applicability.

Excellent cours d'algèbre (pour ceux qui connaissent l'anglais) avec de nombreux exercices comportant les corrigés ou les solutions, ce qui permet d'évoluer rapidement dans le domaine de l'algèbre des structures. Très satisfait de cet achat! Un tout grand merci!
