Having received the book and read it to my grandchildren, I can see why it is so popular! The illustrations are amazing and so busy that there is always something new to be seen on each page, which - in turn - keeps our nearly-two year old fascinated. As his concentration levels are not long yet, he really enjoys pointing to things and finding the dinosaurs. His four year old sister simply thinks the whole book (story and illustrations) is hilarious and loves snuggling up to listen to and help read it. Really 'busy' illustrations can put children off and in some cases confuse them but that doesn't happen with this book; everything is just right.

Creatively told, imaginative story about planting an unexpected garden.

At a glance, I dismissed this book as being to casual in it's tone and a bit silly. But I'm not a 3 year old boy, and my son thinks it's the best dinosaur book ever! There has been lots to discuss in it and he's picked up lots of the story to read it back to me. I'd buy this for his friends.
