Will this cable work on asus rog strix z690-e gaming wifi motherboard and corsair 7000d airflow tower?

This splitter will not make one USB port on the motherboard acts like two, at least in my case. If you plan to purchase the cable to connect and activate four USB ports on top of the case, it will not work unless the onboard USB connector support four USBs. I am using Aorus Z590. I connected USB 3.1 connector on the motherboard to the two USBs on Corsair 7000, and USB 2.0 on the motherboard to the remaining two USBs on the case to make all USBs work. I hope this helps.

I have an msi mpg z490 motherboard. i tried a similar splitter and it did not work. will your cable function with my motherboard?

If your motherboard has a USB-C header then it should work.

With this splitter can i use my usb and type-c ports at the same time?

No. This splitter converts one USB-C header on your motherboard into two USB 3.0 ports

I have a usb3.0 header feeding 2 of 4 usb3.0 ports. can i use this splitter to activate all 4 usb3.0 ports from one usb3.0 mobo header?

No, because each USB 3.0 header only has two USB 3.0 ports.
