The Kybalion - Hermetic Philosophy - Revised and Updated Edition

Everyone should read this book.

I had read a book about fifteen years ago called "thinking and destiny being the science of mankind" by H.W. Percival and was blown away by it but it was so intellectually new to my thinking that it was at the time hard to understand for the larger part. Now fifteen years latter I have a great grasp of that book and this book on hermetic philosophy has opened my eyes to what I was learning back then. The ideas in the Kybalion are , on a superficial level, quite obvious however deep thought about the inner meanings and the implications that the realizations have not just to your own life and way of thinking but your part in the grand reality will reveal some very interesting insight and may even change your mode of thinking which will alter the choices you make in life. The most fascinating fact about this work is that it is derived from knowledge that was known thousands of years ago which science itself is only now beginning to dawn upon. I see this book as a cliff note version of the Hermetica. Maybe that is the wrong way to state it but it's the easiest way to make a short description. I would definitely suggest this book. The single drawback , and only one , that I see is the thinness of the volume but there is so much solid philosophy in it's 112 pages that you realize that to judge a book by it's size is ridiculous. You may not agree with some of the heavier ideas in this book such as it's view of reincarnation (I do not believe in it personally) but you will glean much self awareness from the bulk of it's teaching.

Great book. Listened to the audiobook many times and decided to just purchase the book and read it myself!

I am a Freemason that is on a quest for esoteric wisdom and occult knowledge, so this is a must have in my library! Thank God this book isn't too many pages, the things that are written within this book have to be read several times before fully understood. I give this 5 Stars because I think it pretty much sums up the secrets of the universe.

This paperback version is harder to read than the hardback - text is smaller and typeset so that each page contains 3x the text of the hardback. It DOES,however,contain the same text as the hardback. If you're looking to save a few bucks, this version may be for you, but the hardbound is better for continued study. I believe The Kybalion is an excellent book for those interested in Hermetic principles and "eyes to see".

This book is deep reading. I have read it probably 30+ times. Each time I read it I learn more. If it's your time to receive it, you will know.

I highly recommend this book. It is clear and concise for any student, novice or learned in the occult arts. It is the basis for all other books on magic, occultism, Gnosticism and the like.

I know this book will hello me accomplish ago meant obstacles in life, starting with my personal life. This book came to me by word from a friend and now it will forever be apart of me.

This Book will Answer Most Questions You might need to know about the Universe,.. And put your mind at rest. I've only opened to a couple of page's and I was drawn in straight away. Good Book I say.

As mentioned by other reviewers, this edition is written in an arrogant and condescending manner - the author apparently obsessed with how priveliged this information is, and how others are not ready for it nor capable of understanding it. This is unfortunate because it really detracts from the original content. In the past, I'd gotten a lot of value from The Kybalion but I found this edition intolerable to read, despite its short length.

Un ottimo libro per capire le basi della filosofia ermetica. Come detto nel libro, va riletto più volte per capire alcune cose che precedentemente ti sono sfuggite.
