Okay Product
Bought to further the life of my shoes and so mission accomplished but wish they were a little softer. Overall I guess it depends on personal preference.

Better than buying new shoes
After wearing my new running shoes (New Balance) for just 2-month (was not running in them!!) I was breaking through the bottom of the toe box. I decided to try these insoles and they saved the day! I'm sure I'll get another 3 months out of my shoes - which I use for hiking.

NOT THE 1100 INSOLE
Was looking for the New Balance 1100 insole, and thought this was a near exact replacement, but it was not. Have New Balance bring back their 1100 insoles (the best).

It had too much in the heel, mass and hardness, relative to where I am with the "native" insoles.
It could supply support to the right foot but that is not MY foot. It is too big a change from the insoles that come with the NB993's. There is too much in the heel and it's not cushioning at least my foot. There is also more arch than I really would have liked. It was a gamble to begin with, and it would have been miraculous if it had worked.I found another 993 insole (right foot) and that has returned me to comfort. For the life of me, I do not know why NB doesn't stock the insoles for what is an incredibly popular shoe. Obviously it isn't profitable enough for them to supply them, or if they are the thing that goes first, then it's that they want people to buy a whole new pair of shoes vs just replacing an insole. That was not the case here, as I ground through this insole in 2 months, while the rest of my shoe is perfect.
