Not ready for consumer sales yet
The manufacturer should be more clear that a minimum of two (2) units are required to achieve "plug and play" mesh networks. If you have one of these fed by your modem and acting as a gateway, only then can a second one just be "plugged in" and used. I didn't see how to have it mirror other manufacturer's equipment. There are probably ways to do it, but for less money, I purchased a TPLink Archer C9, and activated the bridge function to the Archer CR700 I'm using as the modem / router. Works with better top end speeds, and each of those units is less $ than an OM5P. Pass on this one, unless you can write it off on taxes as a business expense, or have an IT guy who does work on the side. Not ready for consumer sales yet.

Solid product
Love my Open-Mesh products. The cloud based controller for this system is very convenient. My son moved into an Apt 90 miles away so we set this one up for him. He is connected to the network here at our house seamlessly when he needs to be, but we also have an SSID for him let his friends connect to the Internet without access to our network.

ZERO range
Bough this unit on the hopes I could have a dual band AC AP it failed with an F...not the case. the $35 Netgear range extender had better service. Has all the bells and whistles, mesh service bla bla bla , what the use if it cannot perfor 6ft out of its own shadow.

Does the job!
Does the job. Easy to install and the website was fairly easy to navigate to configure, but it did take a bit to figure out-- clearer directions would be nice.
