Difficult to properly adjust
So far it has been very difficult to get the proper adjustment for best sound. Took it to a professional but it seems to keep getting out of adjustment.

Finest instrument I've ever had the pleasure to know.
I've had this bass for over a year now, gigging on average twice a month, and I absolutely love it. I got it (in black) because it looks like the Gretsch Country Gentleman that George played circa '64. I had no experience with hollow-body basses OR electric guitars before, but I have been EXTREMELY pleased with its sound, ease of use and LOOK, it's unusual enough that it attracts the attention of other musicians! Since it's hollow, it's LOUDER when played unplugged...not loud enough for performing of course, but fantastic for practicing on my own. Some folks warned me about feedback being more of an issue with hollowbodies, but if I don't leave it sitting on the stand with the amp turned on, it's not an issue. The only cons I've experienced are those one might expect: It doesn't care for HEAT all that much. On one occasion I had trouble keeping it in tune when we were playing at a pool party in much humidity, but...duh, it's hollow, and it's made of wood! I've had to be extra attentive to the plug socket and bottom pickup, both of which have a tendency to work their way loose if I'm not paying attention over time...but by "time" I mean weeks, not hours. All in all, this bass requires a little extra attention if you're used to playing knockaround solid bodies, but in my opinion it's ABSOLUTELY worth it.
